Built to Last!
This adult tricycle is sturdy and very well-built. We are elderly and were not able to do the assembly. So, we hired a mobile bicycle shop to do the assembly. It cost $80 and we gave the lady who did the assembly a $20 tip. The tricycle has a large basket on the rear that will hold lots of packages or groceries. We stay in RV resorts and often gather our Amazon packages and bring them back to the motorhome. The tricycle is for my husband who had a knee replacement and has one arm. He is able to handle the tricycle without any danger of him falling. I usually ride a bicycle and it was a real learning curve for me to get used to riding three wheels. I kept trying to lean as I turned a corner. The tricycle does have gears and they did work well when I came to a slight incline. I also geared up to help me ride on level ground so I would not have to pedal so much. This tricycle folds for easier transportation. BUT, we have a VW Beetle and were really hoping that it would fit after folding so we could transport the tricycle to our next stop. We tow the VW behind the motorhome. We will have to remove the handlebars so that we can close the rear of the VW. Not sure if we can transport it using the bike rack we have on the back of the motorhome because of how the rear wheels are offset from the front. The bike is very heavy. My husband is a big guy 250+ pounds/5 ft 11 inches. There is no way he will have to worry about damaging the bike due to his weight. I am also able to ride this bike but the seat had to be adjusted for my height (5ft tall). I highly recommend this adult tricycle.
