Q: Is this container suitable to hold drinking water?

You are better to store water in plastic jerry cans.They are normally 20 litres.You can get these from Wavian .product code JC0020PWKLD 13.50 tele no.01508 493 647.Metal jerry cans are normally made of pressed steel which could corrode in time.I personally would not put drinking water in a metal jerry can, unless it was the only container l had to store water in desperate conditions(in the desert or on safari with no other way of storing water).
