Works at least for simple tasks, can provide temporary relief from strain of conventional mouse
I have ongoing pain / numbness in right arm and hand / shoulder I think from mouse use over many years. Purchased the fingermouse as a stop-gap while I find a mouse/trackball that can combine functionality and anti-RSI etc ergonomics. Considered it basically a novelty but after it arrived by post from China (sooner than expected) I have given it initial testing and find it is manageable enough for web browsing or similar. Doubt if it would work well for e.g. CAD or graphics editing work where sustained pressure must be maintained on left button while making small detailed mouse movements, though I could be wrong. I think a lot of trial and error to find your own optimal method of use will pay off. I am right-handed but oddly I immediately find it easier to use the fingermouse by attaching it to the left hand index finger. Once in place it is easy to operate its scroll wheel (which works well) with second finger, also right clicking is easy, left clicking marginally harder, both again with second finger. The item seems at least reasonably well built. The only reservation is the optical beam (red) is very strong so avoid the beam pointing in your eyes when e.g. putting the mouse down.I can envisage using this for simple tasks when I feel the need to rest either hand from alternative mice/trackballs.

I like it
Let's say first, that you cannot use it as they suggest, strapped to a finger. Don't even go there. HOWEVER, the product has marvellous options for modification. I stuck a plastic tube into the finger strap and I hold that and it's very comfortable to use that way. The buttons could be in a better position, but for £1.50 ish this is a great gadget if you think outside the box a bit. I just ordered 2 more.

I find it awkward to use
I keep trying to find an easy way to use this. If you use it as pictured it has opposite effects! Left is right and up is down!!! Maybe I'm missing something. But I lent it to my best friend's girlfriend and she could not get to grips with it. Mind you, for the money, if you want to give it a try and you manage to master it, let me know how you "wear" it.

Incredibly increases typing speed
Amazing product, became very useful since I am a programmer and the ability to not have to move ur finger from the keyboard is great!

well its the finger mouse?
quite like this...different and fun...and i have to say pretty usefull...and the price is worth while.just plug and play really....take the time to play with it..it is different but is worth trying for just the courage to do something different...and it is not expensive...would make a great gift for the gadget computer fan.

Fiddly in use.
Not heavy on the finger. Personally found it fiddly to use, but might improve with practice. Button paddles easy to activate. Needs a steady hand and a suitable surface to give good pointer tracking.

Worth a try if you're interested, would be better wireless.
I purchased the optical finger mouse to give it a try as it was so cheap.I do not find it particulary useful in my current set up but did find it convenient for browsing the internet on my girlfriend's laptop.Worth a try if you're interested, would be better wireless.

Just a gimmick
As other reviews explain, I bought this along with an touchpad and an air-mouse as a means of relieving arthritic/rsi pain. All I can say is that after several tries the finger mouse now resides in my clutter drawer, whereas the other two are in daily use (alongside a trad-mouse)
