Serious eyeliner for heavy-duty wear
I've been really impressed with this stuff, and just bought an extra couple tubes as a reserve supply. If you've been frustrated with eyeliner crumbling or smearing despite being advertised as durable, this might be what you're after. Worn alone on freshly-cleaned skin, I've had this stuff survive a whole day of profuse sweating, long periods of swimming, careless eye-rubbing, and even washing my eyelids with soap and hot water in the shower. Getting it off even with makeup remover is quite difficult; Neutrogena wipes usually end up abrading my skin more than I like in the time it takes to get rid of it, and so I haven't felt comfortable wearing it daily. For those times when you want your look to survive anything you put it through, however, it's just the thing. If I find a way to remove it more gently, I'll likely wear it much more often. Important points, in no particular order: - The tip is a brush, which makes it a little hard to do sharply-pointed wings, but it's still very possible with patience. The formula has weird gravity-defying rheological properties that make a larger amount of liquid than you'd normally think was possible stay on the brush without dripping, which is pretty cool. - The length of the brush is a bit long for good control. If you don't have the steadiest hands, this might make it hard to use. I've been thinking about trying to glue on a short bit of tubing or something to shorten it up, but I haven't tried that yet. - The color is very dark and even with a single coat, and it dries to a nice skin-like texture. It's not matte, but I like that about it. - It's not particularly fast-drying. This is a feature, in my opinion, because it means that you'll have much less wasted product due to the tube drying out, and that you have more time to fix it if you make a mistake. You definitely have to sit still and wait for it to dry for at least a few minutes, though, especially if you've made a lot of adjustments and built up a thick layer. - As mentioned, its durability is off the charts, almost enough to be a problem. I found this product by specifically looking for eyeliner with reviews complaining about it being hard to get off, and I got what I signed up for. I'm completely satisfied with that, to be clear, but keep in mind that this stuff may very well force you to switch to a more effective makeup remover if you're planning to wear it daily. - It's always hard to tell how far a tube of eyeliner will go, but the quantity of liquid here seems relatively generous compared to other brands, and as mentioned above, I'm encouraged by the slow drying rate as well. - As always, I wish it came in more colors. I mainly use black and plan to try the metallic teal soon, but it would be really nice to see a good bright green or red.

So good
This is the best eyeliner. It took me a minute to adjust to it, I’m used to using pencils and felt tips. But once I got it down, (make sure you let it dry for 30sec or so before blinking or moving on to next steps) like holy cannoli. It stays put and DOES NOT SMUDGE. Accidentally fall asleep in it? No problem. Rub your eyes after you wake up from accidentally falling asleep in it? No one will ever know. It stays as perfect as when I first put it on. Long hot sweaty day at work? Your eyeliner won’t give you away. Plus honestly now that I’m used to the liquid and brush application I love it. Deep black color. Easy to use once I learned how. Amazing value, I’ve used it ever day for two months and no sign of the tube slowing down. Plus it’s super affordable. Love it and will be buying again and again.

Always my go to. Better than even expensive versions I've tried.
I have been using NYX Professional Makeup Epic Wear Liquid Liner for over five years now, and no matter how many other liners I try, I always end up coming back to this one. It has honestly become a staple in my makeup routine because it just works every single time. The first thing I love is how affordable it is. You get amazing quality without spending a fortune, and the bottle lasts through so many uses. A little goes a long way, and it stays smooth and consistent even after months of use. I never feel like I’m constantly replacing it. The staying power is where this liner really shines. Once it dries down, it does not budge. I’ve worn it through long days, humidity, sweat, and even watery eyes, and it still stays sharp and in place. No smudging, flaking, or fading throughout the day. The matte finish looks clean and bold, especially in black. The brush tip is also fantastic. It’s fine and flexible, making it easy to create anything from a super thin everyday line to dramatic winged looks. Even when I’m in a rush, I can still get precise application without fighting with the product. What keeps me loyal after all these years is the reliability. Some liners look great at first but dry out quickly or crack after a few hours. This one consistently delivers intense color, smooth application, and all day wear. For the price, performance, and longevity, it’s hard to beat. Definitely one of those products I always make sure to keep in my makeup bag.

As a longtime matte liquid liner user, I have some thoughts.
First things first, this is a solidly good product. The formula is SUPER long lasting and can take an absolute beating. The first day I wore this, I laughed, cried, accidentally rubbed my eyes, went out in the rain, and effectively put it through almost everything an eyeliner can go through. So, I feel equipped to say that this eyeliner is waterproof and smudge proof. Also, when I took it off 14 hours after applying, there was zero cracking, smudging, or any real show of wear. Having said that, it also refused to budge with my micellar water that removes literally all of my other makeup (including very waterproof mascara) until I rubbed quite hard. I'll be trying some other makeup remover and coconut oil to see if either of those work better. I like a long lasting eyeliner, but I don't want to take it to the grave. Okay, now, that I've addressed the good, it's time to move on to the bad and the ugly. The only reason I purchased this eyeliner is because, to my dismay, NYX discontinued their Matte Liquid Liner. This was my holy grail eyeliner. I wore it nearly every day, and never found myself disappointed. I felt a strangely real sense of loss when I learned it was discontinued, and quite frankly, it still stings. But, I figured it would be close enough. I like NYX products overall, due to their quality, price point, and lack of animal testing, and I knew I wanted a liquid liner with a pot and brush versus a more modern pen applicator. So, this seemed perfect. And again, it's good. But if you're coming from using the Matte Liquid Liner, there are some major differences. First, as some other reviewers have mentioned, the brush is noticeably thicker than the brush with the Matte Liquid Liner. This means, if you're accustomed to the thinner brush, this one can make you feel a little ham-fisted with your application, and it can make it harder to get fine details. Along with the brush itself, the formula feels thicker. There's a certain viscosity to this eyeliner that the Matte Liquid Liner lacked. This adds to the increased difficulty to get precise lines and details. Having said that, it's a decent replacement, and a solid option for the price point.

Hate the applicator tip and product too watery. Love the color and smudgeproof/waterproof features.
I ordered the metallic pink. What I love about it: The color is absolutely beautiful! I was wanting something bold and metallic and this definitely fit the bill. Another pro is that it is pretty waterproof and smudgeproof which is a must for me! For some people this is a con due to it being difficult to take off. For me I don't want my eyeliner to come off so this is a very important pro and something that I specifically look for in eyeliner. So that is the good. The downside, and something I've discovered about myself in this process, I prefer the thicker and sturdier applicator tips like the H20 waterproof liquid eyeliner applicator tip. Funny enough some people dislike those applicators but those are best for me. My wings comes out perfect every time when I use that product. This applicator, which is a fairly common applicator type for liquid eyeliner, I just find very difficult and messy personally. The tip is very, very fine and flimsy, and the product is pretty watery in my opinion and not very opaque. This for me means doing multiple layers all of which looks messy because I can't get a steady hand like I can with those other applicators. All in all I wanted to like this liner so badly but I don't think I will even keep it to be honest as it was such a pain for me to apply. I can usually whip these wings on my eyes in 5 minutes but this took much longer and looked slightly messy when I was finished. I'm going to try a different applicator with the same product before throwing the product away, but the product itself was pretty thin and watery too, so I think ultimately I'll have to toss and search for something else. There were a lot of good reviews for this product but it ended up not being for me. Absolutely beautiful color, it just didn't look very nice on me due to lack of steady hand and clumping due to all of the layering I had to do. I'll give it a 3/5 because I do love the waterproof and smudgeproof part and I do love the color. Purchase at your own discretion.

An Artist's Eyeliner.
I purchased this eyeliner with a mind to replacing a time-honored, long-lived liquid liner I used to use, in a shade called “green tea” (primarily a bronze, with an olive green undercurrent). A certain company—who shall not be named—discontinued my true love, and I was relegated to using their dark brown liquid liner under my eyes, and it was just so . . . loud. Enter this truly bronze “Brown Metal” eyeliner. I looked at at least 10 candidates that involved actual liner brushes (not markers), added 1/2 of them to my shopping cart, then narrowed it down to this. This is the winner. It has a lovely, subtle, ash-bronze color that mildly gleams but does not sparkle or shed glitter. It outlines brown eyes without being heavy or forceful. You can get a thick, opaque line if you withdraw the brush and start lining immediately, or a thinner, fainter line if you gently swipe the brush against the rim of the container. I prefer the thinner outline, painted in two thin layers using several small strokes. It’s very flattering, and not at all harsh. I float a dry q-tip through my lower lashes immediately afterward, to remove any stray liquid before it sets or imprints my upper cheeks. This liner is a good quality waterproof cosmetic as described, & dries very quickly—so quickly, in fact, that you’ll want to be careful early on, when you’re still discovering your style with this brush. If you make a mistake, you’ll want a q-tip with makeup remover standing by. This is an artist’s brush. If you like to paint your face like a canvas, this is The One.

Lasts and lasts
I was wanting something that would really last to fill a gap in one of my eyebrows. I had tried various brow pencils but they did not last long at all. So I thought I would try a liquid eyeliner. I bought the black one first and it was too dark so I ordered the brown and it's perfect. It is very hard to remove even with soap and water and a nail brush but that's what I wanted.

Stays on...a little too well! works amazingly though
i LOVE the fine tip,it makes it so you can easily draw on bottom lashes for cosplay makeup,im a beginner to eyeliner and could get a pretty good looking eyeliner with a little bit of cleaning up with a q-tip...the only problem i had was that i could not for the life of me wash the eyeliner off,its definietly waterproof, smudgeproof alright! but i dont own any makeup remover so it could just be that, just be mindful you might have some traces of eyeliner on your eyes the next day!

Me encanta
