Imou 2K Outdoor Security Camera, AI Human/Vehicle Detecion, Auto Tracking

This is the second of these cameras that I have fitted. I am very pleased with them both. They are easy to set up and connect to the phone , Alexa automatically connects once the phone is set up. Physically fixing them to an outside wall is fairly easy as the bracket only needs four holes drilling in the wall but the two screws that fix the camera to the bracket are very small and fiddly to fit. There is quite a high probability that one or both will be dropped whilst trying to insert them. The video is very clear, the built in floodlight is quite bright and the infra red night vision works well. The sound quality is not perfect but completely acceptable. Movement sensing and tracking are excellent. All in all a great camera and well worth the price.

Very good product. Good picture quality, good sound quality. Set up was quite easy, with a small issue. Only issue was with my Wi-Fi; I have to use a separate line with 2.4ghz. The camera does not want to connect to smart Wi-fi where the router choosing connection 5ghz or 2.4ghz.

I do mo regret buying this, great clear video, no problems so far. I opted for using the 256gb SD card, although i tried the pay for cloud free trial, that i did not renew. Easy to use App that is free, view realtime or saved on SD, easy to manage or delete footage. All in it is great for the money, i have mine monitoring my garage

Bought the first one to replace a failing cam, expectations wern't great but its turned out quite good. Once Id downloaded the Imou config tool from their website i changed the IP address easily to fit in with my static IP wired system. Picture quality excellent, nightvision via IR excellent, colour nightvision using the integrated floordlight even better. P&T function works fine with my sunba nvr, only downside (which is why it only got 4*, not 5) is that i cant integrate the presets available in the imou phone app with my nvr. Motion detection works through to my nvr fine via onvif .. all in all, very pleased with it so far and have just ordered 2 more to replace . word of advice though - disable the motion detection initiated sounder as it will anoy your neighbours 😊

For the price this camera is absolutely amazing the overall video quality is crisp and clean, you can easily make out the details of a person's face, clothing, car, number plates you name it it'll capture it 😀 the product comes with instructions for two methods of mounting, one is to use cable ties around a drainpipe and the other is direct wall mounting and to help you with this they also include a very handy little sticker to place on your wall before drilling that marks the excatly drill hole points amazing and I rarely see this with products 😀 camera is easy to adjust once mounted although tbh I havent adjusted mine once, I have no need to to it captures everything I need it to, tracks events, people, vehicles or animals. If you dont want to manually adjust the camera view in app you can also setup auto panning, so the camera rotates itself every so often and then returns to a default position if you have one set and can be setup to do this at regular intervals. 😁 no compatibility issues with the imou app or with the lastest android OS, does require a 2.4GHz wifi network to connect to the Internet.

Oh dear I hate this camera! I am no novice at setting up cameras- I have other cameras which I myself installed. However I thought I would replace one and was looking for a cheaper option. I got this camera quickly and set up the Wi-Fi connection with ease which is normally an issue . Getting the thing on its stand is fiddly once in position you think your ready to go - oh no this is where your fun starts finding the memory card slot - only it still doesn’t record - I have not remedied this yet ! The dam siren when it detects me passing it inside the home- warning don’t try setting this camera up at 6 am as I did the alarm is loud and could wake the dead! I have not found a way of turning of this ridiculous siren ! The camera does not pick up me walking past it to feed the birds but catches movement inside the house ! Possibly a Wi-Fi issue I don’t know but annoying! Basically the issue is the control system for this product is impossible to navigate- i am coming of the app and going on you tube looking for answers it is driving me mad ! The use of a memory card seems to be un favourable as they ask you to use their storage but it’s more expensive than other security cameras. I simply am struggling to get this camera to work as it should! I will replace the memory card today if it still refuses to record - I am putting it back in the box and returning it or I will loose my sanity! Don’t buy this camera because it is overly complicated to operate and as yet does not work .

Excent product , easy to install very good quality camera ,at a cheap price

Quality is very good. Its easy to set up. It works standalone via a mobile phone app or with an existing NVR. It supports natively the H.265 ONVIF stream. However with tools downloaded from the UMOU support site you can swap it to H.264 for an older NVR. However its so good I am buying a newer NVR and buying another. It detects movement or specifically people or cars. It records to a inboard SANdisk or to the external ONVIF NVR CCTV system. Timed notifications and adjustable siren and light when activated. Basically its good but I have only had it a few days so time will tell how durable it is. However for £27 its a steal. p.s The support team in China are good they respond to questions with good advice and quickly.
