Great Headlamps
What's not to like about these headlamps. We use them camping. They have three brightness levels. Easy on and off. Easy head adjustment. Putting batteries in is tricky. Word of caution, only use Energizer batteries, do not use the Duracell they send you. I had to throw away my last one Duracells leaked and damaged the headlight. I am finding this to be an issue in all my electronics!

Great little headlamp for all those hand free light needs.
Reliable. Bright. 3 modes easy to switch between. Durable build. Comfortable in head. Nice bright/wide light beam. Feels easy on head, light. Batteries seem to last a long time using good quality AAA batteries- they’re easy to replace with a firm closing battery compartment. I like that it glows after use so if you need to find it again, you can see it glowing. feels like a great value for price. Much better than some of the rechargeable ones that seem to not last very long. This has been very reliable for camping, working on car, power outage situations and other uses - i just grab it when sink now need a light.

Great economical headlamp.
I have to walk my dog in the dark a lot. This headlamp is very bright and easy to use. Petzel is a proven lamp. It uses regular AAA batteries and has many different settings but I just use regular straight light. It has three brightness settings. It lights my way and makes it easy to locate Luke's poop to pick it up. A very simple to use, lightweight, economical and dependable llight. It also makes it easy for cars to see me. Just what I needed.

This product should be recalled, it has a serious safety design flaw.
I have two Petzl headlamps, their major shortcoming is they don't have a battery level indicator, which means I either replace batteries unnecessarily or risk the device dying on me in the dark. This model promised a battery level indicator, so I purchased one. I am a mechanical engineer and in the mid 1980s worked for a company that put LED battery indicators on every flashlight we sold. Forty years ago. Wait there's more. The instruction sheet warns user there could be eye damage if you look directly into the beam from closer than six feet away. So where's the battery indicator? Yep, it's on the same axis as the main LED and less than an inch away and not labeled and about the size of a pinhead. I couldn't think of a worse way to do this. It's dangerous. It is going to damage the vision of users. This should not have been released and should be recalled. The only way to use it is to cover the main LED with one finger and look at the indicator, but if you inadvertently turn on the red LED that will blind you. Oh, and it's very difficult to open, you need a tool or you risk tearing a fingernail. This is done by the designer to ensure enough force to seal the o-ring, and not require a cam lever which frequently breaks. I don't like this feature but put up with it as the competing products were not reliable. Lastly their one piece lithium battery is nice but obscenely overpriced. I use a headlamp for work every day, it can't run out of power or fail, it's safety gear, and I can't easily carry or deploy spares. So far their products have been the most reliable, but the new battery level indicator design is criminal. It's going to damage the vision of unsophisticated users.

Perfect for Aviation Uses
I have a couple white light Petzl headlamps I use for backpacking and what not; picked this up for night flying. Decent value among name brand lights, good life out of 3x AAA batteries (and easy to replace), and great light choices. The red color is not excessively bright, just as it should be. That said it's worth a few minutes of in-service before you need to use it in the cockpit. Like most lights the on/off switch controls every function. Now I need to go flying (and backpacking) more often.

Petzl Tikka Headlamp
Great light. Purchased for gift, after previously buying one. Great light for camping, mechanics or for those who are getting older and just need a little more light, when working on things. Headlamp is very bright. Headband is comfortable and stable. Battery life is great. Highly recommend.

Dependable and hands free
What a deal! Love the Petzel quality is great and durability is amazing. We bought yellow- green one for my father to help fix it across the room. We have taken on many camping trips and have used it to help with jobs around the house where I need both hands. I would suggest buying the rechargeable battery pack for the headlight as I use it ALL the time and don’t want o keep purchasing batteries.

Excellent for spotlighting
I was recommended this by a friend and it’s an excellent head lamp. Looking forward to using it on my next trip. I bought the outer case that doubles as a tent light too and it works really well.

Ottima lampada
