Brought back many memories

This book was part of an 80th birthday present and the recipient was very pleased with it as it brought back lots of memories for him.

I was impressed by this book from1944 so purchased a book of events from 1943 ( the year I was born). The 1944 book was a present for a friend so I cannot comment on its accuracy of information.However, on scanning the 1943 book, I was surprised to see a photo of Elizabeth Taylor and a Richard Taylor ( page 49) when it is Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. I am now worried that the copy of the 1944 book may have a similar mistake(s)Very disappointed so cannot guarantee that there are not inaccuracies in the 1944 book. Hence 4 stars rating.

Bought this for my dad's 80th birthday, he couldn't put it down. Unlike other books this took him back to from birth through all his teenage 29,30,40,50 and other important years, fully up to date even had sunak as current PM ..

Great product well made and great allround

This was a gift for a friend. He said it was a very pleasant and informative book. He really enjoyed reading it as it brought back many memories.

This seemed a good idea but after buying it I found that it is almost as though they missed the last quarter of the book ... there are a few references to things from the last 20 years in other lists but throughout the book it has age bubbles showing the age at a particular time and lists of "things" from particular decades (e.g. cars from 1950s etc) The age bubbles stop at 60 and there are no major lists after the 1990s really. Now that may be because it is intended to be about remembering their youth & middle years, but it just felt like part of the book was missing.I also found that the book is written in very basic almost patronising way, ultimately not really appropriate for an intellectually-on-the-ball semi-streetwise 80 year old.Amazon refunded.
