Have several cats that have tried to get in to no avail and our own cat has never managed to vet out either all though she had managed to with our old staywell magnetic which we manually locked at night. This was expensive but worth every penny **Q: What size is the actual door opening?** A: 14 cm wide and 17 cm high. One of my cats is rather large (fat) and gets through no problem. The electronic whirring when the flap is activated did spook the cats a little for a couple of days. However the option of sitting out in the rain or putting up with a slight whirring noise soon becomes a no brainer. Now they use it without a second thought. **Q: Hi where can i check if my cats Avid microchip is compatable?** A: The Cat Mate Elite Microchip Cat Flap with Timer is compatible with 9 (Avid), 10 (Avid) and 15 (ISO) digit microchips. **Q: catmate elite microchip cat flap training mode: if the catflap is set to training mode, does the timer function to allow for locking it on in only?** A: Sorry, I have just double checked with Petmate customer services and the answer is no :( ## Frequently Bought Together - Cat Mate Elite Microchip Cat Flap W/ Timer Control - Cat Mate Elite 2" Wall Liner for Cat Mate Elite Doors - White - Cat Mate Collar Worn Pet ID Disc for use with all Cat Mate, Dog Mate, and Closer Pets Products --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/49052758-cat-mate-elite-microchip-cat-flap-with-timer-for-small](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/49052758-cat-mate-elite-microchip-cat-flap-with-timer-for-small) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
