Good Step Up From "First Orchard"
Since First Orchard has been such a hit in our house with the 2 year old, I got this as a slightly more advanced game. Comparatively, this has individual turns and structure instead of co-op. My 2 year old mostly got it, but it is more difficult to keep her focused on this game, as she prefers working together.The main difficulties of teaching were each player having their own separate pieces and mommy penguin's movement. Eventually, after 4 or so games she got it. She loves feeding the fish to the penguins! Also, playing with the penguins and fish!The components are great, and this is a good step up in terms of complexity for toddlers. I highly recommend the game.

We really enjoy the games from HABA. This one is best for kids to understand the logic.

Great Early Learning Game for Toddlers
This game is adorable! It's simple and quick. I play this with my 2 yr old grandson, who loves penguins, is good with his colors and counting. While knowing colors isn't necessary, it's fun to pick the color of your penguins, then off to get your fish! It teaches counting (only up to 3) and taking turns. His attention span is still a little on the short side for the whole game, but he still loves rolling the dice and moving his penguins.The quality and detail of the game and each of the pieces is very good. The board is very sturdy. I love the dice - Mommy footprints and little baby penguin footprints. This was my first HABA game purchase; and, I will definitely look for other games of theirs.

Great starter game.
My 3yo enjoys this and I’ve found it to be a great way to help foster rule following and playing with others in an unselfish way.

Go little Penguins!
Such a cute game. I thought it might be too young for my 5 year old, but he enjoys playing this, and I enjoy playing it with him.. and I'm nowhere near his age. ;)
