Exactly what they say they are!
They look lovely like cotton balls that light up in the dark, just beautiful.

LOOKING GOOD
Like the way they light up the area in the garden would have liked them to have been more of a whiter light instead of the off white in appearance.

Very flimsy
Very flimsy and hardly give any light off, they have the feel of a cheap Poundland product. Easy to use and being solar powered they will go anywhere outside but I wouldnāt bother buying them as after a couple of weeks they only produced a very dim glow. Not worth the bother.

Lovely lights as long as you hide the wires
These SolarCentreĀ® Elan Outdoor Solar Powered Dandelion Lights donāt look much when you first take them out of the box, in fact the black wires are far more prominent than the small dandelion shaped led lights. But in my years of installing the many solar lights we now have, Iāve found that the art is in concealing the wires as best you can and then letting the evening do itās work to highlight the actual lights themselves. In this case, the lights are well worth experiencing. Not overly bright but certainly eye catching, they give off a nice gentle light while highlighting the unusual shape. Theyāre great for a garden or just to brighten up and illuminate any railings or sides you have near a front door, acting as a sort of guiding path to your door at night. As for the time they are on, mileage will vary depending on time of year. Currently, in Winter, they do a few hours but in summer, based on similar lights, they will be good for 6 or more hours of light.

Avoid that built-in obsolence - these should last for years...
Very happy to try these solar fairy lights as The Sola Centre is my favourite brand of solar lighting - great design and consistently more reliable than many other brands. These are made in China like so much stuff nowadays - but to Solar Centre specifications - and the build quality of this set of 30 lights is very good and seems built to last. The cable is predominantly dark green with a thin white strand - so they're easy to conceal if you're placing among plants or shrubs. Between the solar panel and the first 3.5cm diameter dandelion light there's 2.2 metres of cable - so the string of lights needs putting within 2.2 metres of a good solar location. I've put mine in an open porch that's south facing. You have the option of 2 light modes - blinking or constant. I prefer constant. These Elan lights should prove very durable. The cable seems robust and the lights themselves are housed within a ball of small, soft white plastic spikes. They switch on automatically at dusk and can stay lit for up to 8 hours - though bear in mind this will reduce in winter when the days are shorter. One significant difference with these Solar Centre lights is that the internal batteries can be charged via any battery charger that's compatible with NiMH rechargeable AA batteries - AND these batteries can be replaced after several years with AA rechargeables of an equal or greater NiMH rating. So no built-in obsolence, which is great.Illuminated, in warm white the lights look most attractive. Because of the way they're constructed, instead of being flat points of light, they look diffused almost as the plastic strands around each light extend the illumination beyond the centres. Very good value in my view, these should last for years.

Look pretty at night
These dandelion lights look quite cheap in the light which is a shame, but when they light up at night they are pretty. They add to the atmosphere so ideal for when you have a party or bbq. The light given off from the solar panels is good but obviously these are for effect not as a light source. So they work and look good during the evening but I wonāt be leaving them full time in my garden as during the day they look a bit rubbish.
