Review: Impressive - So previous to buying these fans I had Corsair fans that came with my AIO, to say they were loud would be an understatement, more like a jet engine taking off. So I went for these and thought they can’t be any worse. So after buying 6 of these all I can say is that I was blown away(no pun intended), they are so quiet, and the airflow is amazing my 3070 graphics card(yes they do exist) used to run at a temperature of 55 degrees while idling, now it runs at 34 degrees. Even when the fans are on 100% they aren’t annoying and I would say they sound like a small desk fan(remember I have 6 of these). I would doubt anyway would have fans running at 100%, if you do then you need a better airflow case. Also you can change the colours of the corners, you get these rubber edges that help reduce vibration, I chose white but you can chose what ever colour suits you, they look very smart, and they are easy to mount. Anyway, I can’t recommend them enough, they may cost more than some, but are worth the money. Review: Very quiet and pushes a lot of air - I highly recommend these PC case fans. I purchased 3 to complete my gaming PC. They are super quiet, whilst still offering top notch performance. They are more expensive than others... but I would still highly recommend them. I'm planning on buying another 2 to replace the fans that came with my case, as they are very loud in comparison. ## Features - Premium quiet fan, 120x120x25mm, 12V, 4-pin PWM, max. 1500 RPM, max. 22.4 dB(A), >150,000 h MTTF - Award-winning NF-F12 design has received more than 100 recommendations from international hardware websites and magazines - Focused Flow frame for outstanding static pressure performance, ideal for use on heatsinks and radiators - 4-pin PWM version for automatic speed control via 4-pin PWM fan headers, 1500rpm maximum speed - chromax.black.swap edition with all-black design and swappable red, black, white, blue, yellow and green anti-vibration pads for colour-customising ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07654PNFQ | | Air Flow Capacity | 93.4 Cubic Metres Per Hour | | Best Sellers Rank | 67,343 in Business, Industry & Science ( See Top 100 in Business, Industry & Science ) 254 in Electronic Cooling Fans | | Brand | Noctua | | Compatible Devices | Desktop | | Compatible devices | Desktop | | Cooling Method | Air | | Cooling method | Air | | Country Of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 4,181 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 09010018100402 | | Included Components | 1 product | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 12L x 12W x 2.5H centimetres | | Item Highlight | High Static Pressure Low Noise 25mm Thick Fan with Focused Flow, Customisable Colour Pads, 1500rpm 4-Pin | | Item Weight | 195 Grams | | Manufacturer | Noctua | | Manufacturer Part Number | NF-F12 PWM CH.BK.S | | Material | Fibre-glass reinforced PBT | | Max Rotational Speed | 1500 RPM | | Model Number | NF-F12PWMchromaxblackswap | | Noise Level | 22.4 Decibels | | Number of Items | 18 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Power Connector Type | 4-Pin | | Power connector type | 4-Pin | | Product Warranty | 6-year manufacturer’s warranty | | Product dimensions | 12L x 12W x 2.5H centimetres | | UPC | 841501110405 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Voltage | 12 Volts | ## Product Details - **Air flow capacity:** 93.4 Cubic Metres Per Hour - **Brand:** Noctua - **Compatible devices:** Desktop - **Cooling method:** Air - **Material:** Fibre-glass reinforced PBT - **Maximum rotational speed:** 1500 RPM - **Noise level:** 22.4 Decibels - **Power connector type:** 4-Pin - **Product dimensions:** 12L x 12W x 2.5H centimetres - **Voltage:** 12 Volts ## Images ![Noctua NF-F12 PWM chromax.black.swap, High-Performance Quiet Fan 120mm - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91p8SAjGmgL.jpg) ![Noctua NF-F12 PWM chromax.black.swap, High-Performance Quiet Fan 120mm - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71SS+-KTVSL.jpg) ![Noctua NF-F12 PWM chromax.black.swap, High-Performance Quiet Fan 120mm - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81Kc+y0+0DL.jpg) ![Noctua NF-F12 PWM chromax.black.swap, High-Performance Quiet Fan 120mm - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/810qMAuNGyL.jpg) ![Noctua NF-F12 PWM chromax.black.swap, High-Performance Quiet Fan 120mm - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71XHOnepgwL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can I use 1 to 2 of these nf-f12 chromax black fans in place of the tan/brown fan that comes with the noctua nh-u12s cpu cooler?** A: You absolutely can, it’s what I have on mine. There’s no performance difference, it was simply to keep my color scheme matching. The original tan one went into a different case that doesn’t have a window. **Q: are these good for radiators?** A: I disagree with the seller. The A12 is well rounded for the best option in all applications but the F12 is better pressure optimized for heatsinks and radiators. The S12A has better air flow and is the best as a case fan. So the A12 is essentially in between the F12 and S12A which are specialized; not as good as either but better than both at what they aren't specialized for. If you doubt me, this isn't my personal opinion but Noctua's official recommendation **Q: Will this fan fit the uh-12s cpu cooler?** A: These are the same 120mm form factor as the ones that come with the NH, they should fit. **Q: Is the fan reversable to become an intake or exhaust fan as neeeded?** A: All fans are reversible, based on how your mount them in the case. Fan facing the case it’s an intake, fan facing the inside, it’s an exhaust. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Impressive *by C***S on 29 June 2021* So previous to buying these fans I had Corsair fans that came with my AIO, to say they were loud would be an understatement, more like a jet engine taking off.
