Have used to torque oil pan bolts, valve cover bolts, and other engine bolts on a 01 F150 5.4 engine. Nothing over 40 ft lbs, although it says it will, but I have 1/2 digital torque for that. The alarm is nice, but going very very very slow will not stop right on torque spec. (18ft lbs for example) Torqued very slow watching each number digit change when getting close, but could not get it "spot on". The alarm allows for you to get close to your set torque specs.
