The popularity of pickleball is going through the roof and it seems so too are the price of paddles. Sure, the technology to make these paddles has also increased but IMO for 75% of us so-called recreational players the majority of light to middle weight paddles can get the job done if you just put your mind and your feet to it. My wife somehow settled on this paddle and loves it, so this one was purchased at a very reasonable price as a back up to her already on hand back up. A good looking paddle that any woman would love.

Husband and I really like the paddles. They have a really nice grit. I'm still getting use to the square handle grip as it makes it harder to change your grip, if needed, which I do. I'll figure it out as I do like the way the paddle hits. My previous paddle was a graphite? paddle and I felt I had to hit/swing so hard. Those were returned.To be clear, we've only been playing pickleball about a year, once weekly, at a local court. These work great for us, although I think they'd work well for many others. I was a long- term tennis player, 18 years, until I tore my rotator cuff on my service arm. It was never the same again and found myself playing less and less, eventually leaving the sport. I wanted a grit to help with top spin and this paddle provides that.

Feels good to use. Has good amount of pop and power. Can’t blame my play on the paddle anymore :)

I’m a beginner and the max grit makes my play so much better!!! The first paddle I bought had dead spots and I did not have the same control that I have with this paddle. The grit and thickness in this paddle have given me more control. I am far from good but I’m much better. Buy this line of paddles.

The best paddles

Over the last year I've used a bunch of different paddles from Joola to PCKL to Boulder Sports as well as some other Franklin paddles. Regardless of the price, they've all been at least decent and I've been able to swap one in and play competently with it just fine.Anytime I've played with this paddle (the 16mm version), I've gotten crushed, made tons of unforced errors and not enjoyed playing with it at all.This paddle has a shorter handle than most of the other paddles I've used and compared to anything else it feels out of balance. My shots from anywhere on the court were going all over the place. They were popping up, flying out of bounds and otherwise just not going where I intended them to go.The construction of this paddle seems to be perfectly good so far. I can't complain about the quality or construction of the paddle. It was just embarrassing to play with this paddle because my game was so bad.If this will be your first paddle, chances are you'll be happy with it as most people are with their first paddle. If you've been playing with Joolas or PCKL or even the Franklin Signature Series Max Grit 16mm (an excellent paddle from Franklin) and go to this paddle I think you can expect your game to take a nose dive. If I stuck with this paddle for a while and spent a few weeks or months getting used to it I might grow to like it but it feels so much different from anything else I've used I have no desire to play with it again.

C'est ma deuxième Christine Mcgrath et je la recommande fortement pour un excellent contrôle et effets. Par contre je préfère la 13 mm plutôt qu'une 16 mm car elle est plus légère et j'ai une meilleure prise avec la 13 mm.
