Q: How long does it last?

A very long time. Several months.

It looks like Flash A & Flash B have a coarser grit (60) and might be faster for bigger dogs with tougher nails.

Q: Why won't it fit in the old or new Demel pet tool???????? I'm so disappointed!

As Juanita advised, it's the Collett. Sometimes it helps to completely loosen it, and remove each part. When you reassemble it, thread each component on just enough to hold itself together. The opening should then accept the tool. Failing that, you may have to attach a different size Collett. Another alternative is to try the Dremel "Bit Chuck" style Collett, which works like a standard power drill and offers compatibility with a wide range of tool shaft diameters (i.e., infinitely adjustable).

Q: Will this fit on a Dremel 4300-9 model?

It should. It says it fits most nail grinders and it is made for Dremels.
