Well made and not too heavy when full
I needed a convenient water reservoir for a long walk. This product fitted the bill perfectly. I bought the 2 litre model. I think this was a good choice for me as 2 litres of water is quite heavy. The quantity was quite sufficient for a days walking in not too hot conditions. The construction is light but robust. It is easy to fill. It apparently has an anti-bacterial coating which is a nice touch. The drinking tube fitted in my rucksack well and it didn't take long to get used to the drinking mouthpiece (not having used one of these reservoirs before). The mouthpiece did not leak at all. Not the cheapest of reservoirs but felt it was worth it for a quality product.

Fab bladder
Fab bladder. I bought it to go in my running vest as that came with soft flasks. It is easy to clean, and so far the water tastes fine in it as long as it hasn't been in the days! The bite valve is really easy to use and delivers a good amount of water. When screwing the lid on, you just have to be careful it is square on, otherwise, like most screw caps it cross threads slightly and can then leak, but this is easily noticed as soon as you tip it up.The straw is long, so for some applications it may need cutting down, but at least there is enough to do that.

Camelbak still making the best hydration bladders
Having used Camelbak backpacks and bladders for mountain biking over the last 25 years, I can't imagine using any other brand. In my experience they are taste free, leakproof, easy to fill and to clean and the latest Crux has a slightly wider tube and delivers more fluids per sip.I recommend going for the larger 3l capacity as it covers all eventualities from a 2 hour ride to an all day epic. Excellent all round.

Functional and practical
Really good product. The reason I have given it 4 stars is the very large opening. I think it could have been a wee bit more petite?

Perfect for hiking and cycling
This is a great product. It's easy to use and clean. I find it a boon on long cycling trips. The pipe gives a good draught of water in each sip.

Brilliant bit of kit worth a little extra
Great build quality. No leaks, detachable tube for cleaning, valve with a lock off, nice big filler caap. Really well thought out product. Comfortable in use and no nasty plastic taste

Great for skiing
I like to use this when skiing or walking, as I drink a lot of water. It saves me stopping to search for a bottle in my bag every time I want a drink. It holds a good quantity of water for a day on the slopes. I have a small rucksack, which has an opening at the top for the tube, and an elasticated loop on one of the straps to hold the mouthpiece. I can easily use it on the chairlift or if I stop for a moment. I’ve had it for over a year now and I am still very pleased with it. It hasn’t leaked at all for me, but be careful to check that the lid is aligned properly when you screw it on, or leakage may be an issue. The lock on the mouthpiece seems to work well in preventing leaking too.I bought a camelback cleaning set and cleaning tablets, which make it fairly easy to clean. The water has always tasted fine to me too, I haven’t noticed any weird tastes from the camelbak.

Love it
I stopped using camelbacs years ago, due to the funky taste it produced, it was a good price and I needed a new one to replace a different branded bladder.Totally upped their game, bite valve still excellent, no leaks, filling of the bladder is great. Had a bit of fall going up hill, lost my footing and landed on my back, this camelbac took the full weight of me and it was unscathed. Brilliant 👍🏻

Best bladder on the market
I have bought multiple Cambelbak bladders over the last 10 years and they keep me very satisfied. These are by far the best reservoirs on the market. The handle makes it easy to fill and close the opening. It is made from sturdy material and the bladder itself will keep the water pretty cool when stored in a backpack, even on hot days. I also have an insulation bag, but I never use it. When cycling in 32 degrees Celcius, that's 89F for you imperial speakers out there ;), it will keep cool in the backpack throughout the day. It never leaked when I used it. I can really recommend this bladder.

Excellent - I don't think some of the reviews on this are fair
I bought this product after reading mostly positive reviews - but some reviews said it leaked, it was hard to fill completely and the water tasted bad. The only problem I had with leaking was the one time I didn't get the cap on right. However, I always turn it upside down before putting it in my bag to check for leaks. There's a trick to getting the cap on correctly: when you put the cap on first spin it slowly counter-clockwise like you're unscrewing it until you click a "click." That sound is the threads engaging and lining up. Then screw it clockwise and tighten as normal. I agree that it shouldn't require a "trick" but once I figured this out I can quickly and easily get the cap on correctly. The hose connects with a solid "click" and I've had no leaks from that connection. The second issue I've seen in reviews is that it's hard to completely fill, and this is true if you try to get every last drop possible in it. However, I questioned how much water this actually holds so I completely filled the reservoir and poured it out into my 2 liter measuring cup. It held about 2.2 liters. So it is hard to put 2.2 liters into a 2 liter reservoir, but it's easy to fill to the 2L advertised capacity. The other issue is the taste, and if you put water in it brand new without cleaning it, it will taste like rubber. So I washed mine with warm water and a little dish soap (and ran some through the tube) and thoroughly rinsed it. I spent 10 minutes doing this 1 time and the water tasted completely normal after that. If you leave water in it for over 24 hours (especially if partially filled) then you'll get a slight aftertaste. If you're looking to store water for several days without any change in taste, then this product probably isn't for you.Two things that would make this better are to include a sleeve option for the tube. I've got a green/brown bag and the bright blue tube just doesn't look good against it. Also the hook at the top of the reservoir (used to hang inside your bag) is shaped like a T and that works great in my bag, but my wife's bag has a velcro loop. To secure it in her bag we'll have to rig a string through the T hook and the loop in the bag. Finally, check the dimensions before ordering your size. The measurements showed it would be a tight fit in my bag and it is, but it works fine and I'm glad I got the larger size. The measurements in the specs are accurate with the bag full of water. Bottom line, I liked this enough to buy one for my wife.

Excellent Hydration Pack! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’ve used this CamelBak hydration pack twice so far, and I’m very happy with it. It doesn’t leak at all, it’s very easy to use, and it arrived very quickly. The drinking nozzle is also very well designed—it locks securely and is easy to use. Great product!
