Fellowes AutoMax 100MA 100-Sheet Micro-Cut Autofeed 2-in-1 Paper Shredder for Office/Small Office

This shredder works great. I ordered the oil sheets to keep it lubricated. I use it at home, and its size makes it easy to tuck away when not being used. If you use it for a continuous large amount of shredding, you will need to give it a few minutes of rest when it overheats. Doesn't take long for it to cool down to start again. You can shred multiple sheets at a time inserting them through the front feeder or use the automatic feeder for larger stacks of sheets. I am very pleased with the quietness of the shredder, which finely shreds the paper. I've used it to get rid of years of tax forms and other items containing personal info. The papers are shredded so finely that I don't have to worry about personal information being exposed.

Ok, I just got this shredder. I was looking for a two piece device: 1 for the bin and 1 for the rest. No dice. 3 pieces. The bad: You have to put some effort into setting this up as the top will not just fit on the body. Flexy plastic makes sure of it. The unit threatened to flop over trying to move it without the bin. Also, the bin liked to pop open a few times on its own before I tried shredding (about a half inch, but extremely annoying especially if it’s going to micro cut paper and not toss it all over the place). The good: This thing is quiet, quick and actually not bad. If paper jams, it’ll automatically try and back the paper out. I like that. I put in 3 batches of 100 sheets and I could listen to my TV while it was shredding. It also ate a few old credit cards and was ready for more. The bottom line: I would have given it a better review if the plastic wasn’t so flimsy and the bin would actually stay where it was supposed to be (also if it was two pieces). Calling this “heavy duty” is a stretch. I would have liked it to be more durable. However, it does what it’s supposed to do, and it’s quiet and quick. I didn’t have to do much effort to unjam it, and that’s pretty good. I can see it lasting a while.

I have had this auto feed Fellowes shredder about a week now and so far, I am happy with its performance. I love the idea that you can stack up to 100 sheets in the auto feeder and let it go. I have a big shredding project so that was a feature that attracted me. My experience to date is that the auto feeder works well but I have found that it will jam if your papers are stapled. So, keep that in mind. However, you can shred stapled paper via the manual feed. I got this shredder to replace an older Fellowes home business shredder that we had for 17 years. So, I am hoping this new model is as well built and will last as long ---but only time will tell. I can say this shredder definitely runs quieter than our old shredder. The bin is a good size and because of the micro-cut you can shred quite a bit before needs to be emptied.

Fellowes AutoMax 100MA 100-Sheet Micro-Cut Paper Shredder is excellent. I haven't sent 100 sheets through but it does a great job on old credit cards and of course paper. I do love the removeable basket that catches the shredded paper, and that it's on wheels. I chose the right product.

The plastic frame that contains the bin and supports the heavy shredder head is very thin. I had difficulty seating the heavy shredder head on the plastic frame for fear of cracking the plastic frame. The problem was merging the heavy shredder head pins with the receiving portion of the plastic frame. Assembly instructions minimal. Once the Fellowes AutoMax 100MA was assembled, added paper to the auto feeder. Adding the paper and aligning it to the auto feed takes a lot of jiggling. The bin the catches the shredding's 'seems' sturdy, but beware. Once assembled, the AutoMax 100MA works as stated. This shredder in not as sturdy as the photograph implies.

Replaced a previous fellow’s shredder that died after a long service life with this one, not quite as fine a shred but works great all be it a little louder

It was good until it burned as the machine is not suitable for Southeast Asia use! I can’t even find tech support locally. Wasted $300

This paper shredder is quiet (for a paper shredder). Produces a very fine cut. The paper feeder option is great when you have a lot to shred.

Love the fold out paper tray to do bulk shredding. Really beats feeding it 10 sheets or so at a time!
