I would highly recommend these. I purchased these right before my trip to Hawaii and they worked on all terrains. From walking on the street, sand, rock, grass, and playing basketball on an outside court these shoes held up. They were also comfortable to wear. The size 12 is a little large, but they tighten up. One thing I will complain about is around the parts where the shoelaces are held, they have some lose strings that come out and I keep having to pull out or cut off. But other than that they have done great. PS they are not waterproof, nor water resistant. But they are easy to clean.

I ordered these to replace a long time pair my dog ate. I put these on right out of the box and did a Rocky 2 mike hike and these are so comfortable. No break in period required. These look great and cleaned up with a damp cloth. I’m glad my dog ate my old pair because I love these!!

Tried Salomon, Brooks, adidas, various other brands for the trail. None were as comfortable for full day trails as these Columbia. Over the last few years I've now purchased 5 different pairs/colors.
