Great-Looking Carbon Fiber Wrap
I bought this black carbon fiber wrap and really like it. It’s easy to install, and the glossy black carbon fiber finish looks very elegant. It’s flexible, applies well to different surfaces, and gives a professional-looking result. Great for DIY projects and for adding a stylish touch to your vehicle or other items.

Cheaper than carbon fiber but looks just as good
First off got to say I got this specifically because carbon fiber parts for my car are hard to come by and Incredibly expensive so when I saw this stuff with the high gloss I pulled the trigger on it and got a few rolls and I'm very pleased with the results. I did my shifter console plate and my t-tops on my 86 Trans Am and the stuff at first was a little Troublesome to work with but once you get the hang of it and figure out where to start and where to work to it goes fairly easily especially since it's not like window tint where once it's stuck at you're done you can actually pull it up and retry and refitted a few times and applying heat to it helps Flex it around Troublesome curves you just have to know what spots to hit the heat with and what spots not to otherwise it will contract and expand in the wrong places and then you'll end up getting a crease and it will stick to itself. And then with the larger role that I had that was five foot by 6 foot I took on wrapping a fiberglass hatch and came out looking like it was bought as a molded carbon fiber hatch , took about 3 hours but if you're patient there is literally no limit to what you can do with this stuff . Make sure you got a good quality heat gun don't use it too much in one spot and have a really really sharp razor blade

great product but it definately requires some skill
Product is very nice, I was happy with the appearance, unfortunately I found it much harder than it looked to apply. I tried my best to use it on a door panel, but could not get it to stick in one of the corners. But the worse was that small specs of material will leave a tiny bump visible on the outside. Obviously you need the layer perfectly clean. In my case it was very difficult to have a perfect application layer because of a thin layer of some substance that I just could not sand off fully. I will try again later on other surfaces and parts that are more suitable and easier to learn on.

Nice n Smooth! It was installed with ease and less air bubbles. I would definitely recommend this wrap!

Self sticking adhesive may not work well by itself
Product looks ok, not as good as I was expecting based on other reviews. The self adhesive did not work for me as it kept wanting to peel off interior plastic trim. I had to use contact cement to get it to stick well.

The trials of a simple order as told by me
Vvivid makes a great vinyl wrap, unfortunately I've received 4 wraps and none of them have been what I actually ordered. I’m writing this review to inform the public that you could end up with something completely different than what you intended. I wanted to see this epoxy carbon fiber so bad and the first order I received was supposed to be the grey epoxy but turns out it wasn’t. Didn’t find that out until dealing with vvivid directly. The wrap that I received looked like the grey epoxy but apparently it was the gunmetal dry carbon fiber. But before that all happened I had ordered a larger size of the grey epoxy and received what this review is listed under. You can imagine my surprise to think you’re getting a larger size of something you’ve already tried and it’s a completely different product. This color epoxy isn’t even a carbon fiber pattern so be warned on that. Ordered a replacement through Amazon and received the exact same thing again after they agreed it wasn’t the same as my first order. That’s when I reached out to vvivid directly and found out I had never received what I initially ordered. They did offer a replacement and after it was delivered to the wrong house and I found it on my porch the next day opened with a note explaining why one of my neighbors thought it was there’s, you can imagine my frustration to see that vvivid themselves sent me gunmetal dry carbon fiber wrap as a replacement for me never receiving my initial order of a grey epoxy carbon fiber. Now they just stopped emailing me back. So I’ll end with this. It’s a gamble and good luck

Must read for beginners. This vinyl is amazing.
I have used this carbon vinyl along with so many others to compare, Scott elemento 6 and the tech art gloss, 3m Dinoc, oracal, etc... Don’t listen to people who say this vinyl isn’t good. It’s all user error. There’s an art to application, it is very thick but it can conform to curvy surfaces and hard to wrap pieces. The adhesion is not an issue. Use a clean microfiber and isopropyl alcohol, minimize dust. Clean all the edges and everywhere you think you wouldn’t even touch. If you’re wrapping interior trim, take it out of the car. Take your time, make sure you have a fresh blade at all times. Do not overheat it. Peel the protective layer off the top. The vinyl really pops when it is applied to curved surfaces. When you lay it down, don’t tack down a spot until you are ready to apply “glass”. Watch CK wraps for tips to make your vinyl wrapping experience better. This has fantastic air egress. Hit it quickly with the heat gun and use the squeegee to flatten it, do not flatten “fingers” or you’ll get wrinkles, rookie mistake. I did the entire C5 s6 trim for $22. You can’t beat the depth and gloss of this stuff. DO NOT USE IT OUTSIDE. It’s for indoor use only!
