Hands down, the best tracker I have ever used! I have used 4 or 5 different trackers in the past, but this one beats all the rest I have previously used by a country mile! I originally had a spare mobile phone set up with a 4G sim and a GPS app installed, and it worked OK, but the battery life on the phone wasn't great and I could only charge it whilst I had the ignition on, so after a day or so it would drain the battery life. So I looked at an alternative option. I purchased a GPS tracker (i forget the name of the brand) which i hardwired into the car via the fuse box - again, this worked OK, but it had a very buggy app and rarely showed the correct location. So I then purchased a 'mini GPS' sim tracker that claimed to work with any sim carrier...but it didn't and I could even get it to work. Lastly, before I got this device, I purchased the Vodafone curve which has a built in v-sim. Out of all the previous ones, the vodafone curve is the best, and works relatively well for a small monthly fee - but - compared to this item, the curve is nothing. Now...for THIS item...what a nice, easy and simple device that works...and very well! After unboxing, there's a slip with an activation code to register the device. Then it was just a case of downloading the devices app and plugging into the OBD port of my car. No wires. No mess. No fuss. Don't even have to worry about fiddling with a sim card as it has one built in. Don't have to worry about battery life either. It pulls through enough power without the ignition on and no reduction in battery voltage and ...it just works very well. It even has useful features in the app to enable smart security to detect vibration and you can even set it up to detect harsh cornering/braking/accellation etc. You can see exactly when the engine is started and stopped, where the car has been on each trip...and even follow the map LIVE if you wanted. Literally the only nag I had was that once I plugged the device into my OBD port, the flap door that covers my port wouldn't close as the device was sticking out. But this was a very easy and simple workaround...the guys who manufacturer this device also offer an extension OBD cable, and its relatively cheap, too. I purchased the cable, and once I installed it, I was able to hide the device in the dashboard and close the flap door. This device also detects and notifies you when it is plugged in or unplugged. I dont have a bad thing to say about it. I gave had it in the car almost a week now...and I love how simple it is to operate. The monthly subscription is 100% worth it.

Decided to give this a try after having a think about it. Reading some reviews I was a bit unsure of how well it would actually perform, and the answer is quite well! So having installed it on my new Focus, just as a bit of an insight and security on where the car is and anything I should maybe be aware of if someone else is driving the car, it comes in quite handy. I connected it through a OBD splitter cable, hid the carlock device itself away, so it can't be seen, but if the car were to go into the garage they can still connect their OBD reader etc. so the carlock never gets removed. First drive, immediately as I hit the open road it was alerting me of harsh acceleration.. But what do I expect from a Focus ST... It was a bit over sensitive for a start but seems to have sorted itself out and is proving well detailed trip information and quickly to the android app. The app is fairly responsive and easy to use and understand, often a bit on the buggy side, not really sure what it would come down to, but who knows improvements are maybe yet to come. Still this doesn't let the product down as a whole. The device itself never seems to have a problem connecting through it's inbuilt sim, even when miles out of town. Which is quite good considering the 3G connectivity isn't always the best up here in the north of Scotland. Great invention and easy to install right on your drive way. Recommend!

I purchased the obd port tracker along with the obd slim splitter cable which enabled me to hide my CarLock tracker yet still have my obd port available for use, the tracker is brilliant and is very accurate, combined with the app which shows you your driving statistics, speed, harsh braking,cornering etc, it really is a great product and gives me piece of mind knowing my car is protected 24/7 and also helps me improve my driving. I fitted this over 3 months ago and had no issues whatsoever and I carnt see any in the future it is a solid tracker and customer support is excellent, I’ve recently purchased the CarLock Bluetooth tag which enables and disables the tracker when you approach/leave your car again giving me peice of mind, I hope this helps someone who is considering buying this tracker, I say go for it you won’t regret it

Very easy to install and set up. I have been using it for around 2 weeks now. Thoughts so far, when it works it is fantastic but there are too many issues with the device. 1. Trips are not always logged. Have to contact support to resolve. Takes around 48 hrs. UPDATE* Support has fixed this problem and it is working fine. 2. Smart tag on Bluetooth does not always work. On a few occasions that smart tag has not automatically disabled the security. UPDATE* Support has resolved this problem with my iPhone. Had to enable CarLock in Motion & Fitness. 3. Driving score not logged. Have to contact support to resolve. Takes around 48 hrs. UPDATE* Support has fixed this problem and it is working fine. I am still very happy with the device. I like the logging of each trip, no more arguments about how long a journey took to drive. GPS location helps in large carparks. The vibration sensor is very sensitive, which is good in case there is a hit and run on your vehicle. The battery monitor is in real time and is useful to check your battery health. I would definitly get the extension cable, allows you to place the device in a more suitable location. I have hid mine behind a panel and secured it with cable ties. This should in theory make it harder for would be thieves to find the device and throw it away. The smart tag, still not sure about this bluetooth device. I am waiting on the battery life before making a final verdict.

I'm very happy with this product and the peace of mind you get from knowing that if someone gets in your car (vibration detection) or starts the engine you will receive an alert on the app on your phone. You can also get alerts for harsh acceleration/braking/cornering or speeding so if someone is driving your car you will know and can track it's whereabouts in real time. It records your trips from place to place with milage, top speed and average speed. It also monitors your cars battery and let's you know if your voltage is low. Over all a good tracker.

On paper, and according to the CarLock sales spiel, this should be a great addition to vehicle security but from my personal experience the Carlock is as much use as an ornament, or a chocolate fireguard. It has not worked properly since I installed it on my 2019MY Mercedes 450GLE. The engine start, vibration detected, and vehicle battery information alarm notifications are triggered correctly on the App, but there was no vehicle tracking, or vehicle location position recorded following the initial install. It located my home install location correctly but thereafter nothing about the vehicle usage, or its whereabouts was ever recorded. No matter how many miles I drove, or wherever I went, my vehicle was shown as never having moved off my driveway. This was despite the fact that the tracker app showed the device was was being monitored by up to 18 satellites. I reported the problem to their support team straightaway and for a month they were apparently "working" on it. I say apparently as they never bothered to update me. The only time I ever heard anything was when I chased them, which I did every few days. Even then all I ever got were platitudes "we are working on it". The silence has been deafening! I requested a replacement a number of times but this was ignored until over a month later when they agreed that I should return the unit, and they would send a replacement. Which they duly did and re-reimbursed the postage costs I installed the new unit which had exactly the same problem as the one I had returned. This time though on installation it failed to register any tracking satellites. I reported the problem to CarLock (UMTR Group), and was informed, quote "The problem is being solved and you will be advised about it soonest" unquote. A day later I was contacted again and informed, quote " We have been discussing the issue with our "R&D. They have had a deeper insight but the only conclusion is that somehow the device is not connecting and their guesstimation is that the problem is - do not get us wrong, please - in the car that seems like being heavily armored" unquote. (Their words and spelling). I have written back to them informing them that my vehicle is not armoured, or protected in any way. Its a standard Mercedes GLE 450. I had such high hopes for this device as a complement to my existing vehicle security system but I've now given up and returned it to Amazon. It might be something to do with my vehicle but the device clearly does not work. Furthermore the technical support is the worst that I have ever encountered. I would definitely not recommend.

I was a bit dubious about the claims made on the Carlock website, but a friend had installed it and recommended it, so I took the plunge. It took literally 30 seconds to plug into the OBD port, and about 3 minutes to install the app, register and purchase my subscription (at the time of writing, £6.99 a month). It is ultra accurate, and gives me a really good battery reading too. I forgot to disarm it one day, and opened the door of my vehicle, and it alerted me right away. Excellent. I would like it to send back more diagnostic info from the OBD port via the app, and have the function to combine multiple vehicles into a 'family' or discounted multi-vehicle subscription, which is the only thing stopping me from buying more. All round, great for the price and easy peasy to install and work.

This device is fantastic. The peace of mind it provides is definitely worth the price tag. All you have to do is take it out of the box, register it online, download the app and then plug the device into your car’s OBD port. In my 2013 Fiesta, I had to buy an extension lead because the drawer that hides my OBD port wouldn’t shut with this in place, but it only cost £5.99 so not a massive issue. This also meant I could hide it, to prevent potential thieves being able to simply remove the device. The device is sensitive - a lorry going past my parked car in high winds was enough for it to alert me that it had sensed a vibration. However, I’d rather it was too sensitive than not sensitive enough. You can pick your favourite colour to use throughout the app, and even upload a photo of your car to go with it. The app is fun and easy to use, and displays a log of all your past journeys. You even get a record of how many miles / hours you’ve driven each month, which is handy to know to see how much mileage I get out of a tank of petrol. The app runs fast and loads up with map of where your car is within a matter of seconds. The GPS location or address given is not always 100% accurate, but that isn’t an issue for me. Another thing to note is that as of August 2019, this listing is inaccurate. The monthly fee is £6.90, not £5.99 as it says in the description. If you love your car like I love mine, this is a must have.

Super produit. Très facile d'installation et très fiable dans l'utilisation. Je l'utilise pour une flotte de 14 véhicules. Cela me permet d'anticiper le mode de conduite et les frais liés à l'utilisations des véhicules. SAV très réactif et commerçants. Juste l'interface à améliorer pour la gestion de plusieurs véhicules mais cela est du détail.

I love the ease of use and the performance of this product, it is cheaper subscription than the stock GPS programs that come through the car manufacturer. The good: it's easy plug and play. The app works very well and has no glitches. Notifications are great and come in within seconds of the alarm being triggered. I love the driving score, especially if you have someone else driving your car. The bad: it's too large that I couldn't apply the Ebrake on dodge charger with it on, so I had to get an extension. Which brings me to the next issue, I'd love to see a double bypass type of extension cord (similar to the one that comes with the z automotive tazer) this way criminals won't find it easily and won't be able to disable it. The last issue I had was at the beginning, but I believe it has been fixed, it was that the GPS would show the car at a place that I was at hours prior, and it'd take a day for it to snap out of it. Over all, good product and I'd recommend it.

Peace of mind when we drive across the country with our stuff in the car. We always knew where our car was parked, whether there is vibration or movement from someone trying to break into it. A few false alarms when a Harley Davidson rode by but I rather it error on the side of caution than not alert me when someone breaks in. Didn't have any problems with mobile connection from California to Florida. High recommend if you're moving or travel with your stuff. Note, it does not sound an alarm in the car. Only on your phone so it's a silent alarm and won't deter breakin unless you should up
