Can this be used with a bass guitar or will it blow the speaker?

Yes it can, it works fine with a bass guitar. I have also played an electric acoustic guitar through it and it was good with that too. It's a pretty versatile amp.

Would this be ok for home practice with an electric guitar and vocal microphone used at the same time?

Yes this will work great for that application. you can use guitar FX as well if you want to add distortion

Could you play a bass guitar through this amp?

Yes. I do regularly . Laney recommends using input #2 . The inards are based on the LANEY RB5 120watt bass amp. I also have used this for backing vocals and playing tracks from phone in rehearsal room at the same time . (Those extra inputs are really useful) Thoroughly recommend it , I've even lined out a guitar with a small 5 watt vox amp through it for extra volume.

Can you play music from an iPod through this amp?

Yes if you were to connect it via the Ipods headphone socket. An extra lead would be required and not sure how good the quality would be.
