It's hard to mash it up dry if you want to use part of it in a soil mix but if you soak it and use the whole thing at once it's easy to use.

For so little money yuo get more than you think.

Arrived within days. Excellent product .No instructions , but on researching it's approximately 3 litres to a brick , if that helps anyone else. It expanded very quickly and was used as a third component of a soil mixture for use in a rocketry.

Expands when touches water and is a good price, last for a very long time definitely buying again. The only down fall being is that it's quite difficult to break.

I am ordering my second brick, it may help others to know that, if your houseplants are bothered by fungus gnats a layer of this over the top of compost seems to prevent the nasty lil beggars from laying eggs (or whatever it is they lay brrrrr) In the last few months I've lost many battles against these tiny foes but now I am winning the war. Massive thanks! Ps,repot, rinse roots, clean pot and top with a cm of this product. Working for me.

The block comes like house bricks once water is added it becomes three times the size. I started using it today so not sure how my seedling going to take. I would recommend keeping it in an old compost bag so as not to dry out.

Block wasn't wrapped. And no instructions as IV never used it before I would have to look this up

Makes a large amount of bedding for the worms and they seem to like it,
