Do they sell shares in this company because we keep buying smallrig. This arrived and the same day, I ordered another. Things I like. 1. small and light - will slot into my camera bag unnoticed. 2. Really well made. 3. It's bright. I currently have it attached to a smallrig grip above my desk with no office light and it's dark outside. The light is on 1% and my desk is completely lit up to work on. 4. It allows you to adjust the temperature and shows the Kelvin value on the small screen on the back. This means I can match the type of light in the environment. 5. It has an information screen - brightness, K, HS values to help you get the right light and you can easily adjust these. 6. It can run of an external power source. 7. It remembers your settings. Things I dislike. 1. I had to buy a cold shoe attachment for my camera - more small-rigging :-) 2. The strode effect. A lot of people have a sensitivity to bright flashing lights and having to cycle through one to reach other modes kind of sucks. I've binned a torch before because it had this function. If smallrig read reviews, may add this function as a long-press to active. Overall, another amazing smallrig item which reflects a company that pays attention to detail and functionality. Oddly, I've been looking for an emergency lantern in case of a power failure - but this is way better. I brought these for various types of photography and will continue to add some more but in reality - they are useful for so many thing.

The RGB and effects modes are a fun bonus and have helped add a bit of flair to certain posts and stories when I want to get creative. Build quality is solid and typical of what I’ve come to expect from SmallRig — well-designed, easy to use, and intuitive controls. The only real drawback is battery life at full brightness — it does drain fairly quickly when maxed out. That said, since I typically use it in short bursts (30 to 60 seconds at a time throughout the day), I can usually go a couple of days between charges without an issue. Still, if you're filming long sessions, you’ll want to keep a power bank or charger handy. Overall, it’s an incredibly versatile, high-quality light that punches well above its weight — perfect for anyone serious about mobile content creation.

This little light really exceeded my expectations. Despite its compact size, it delivers bright, consistent lighting with excellent colour accuracy. The RGB options and 21 effects give loads of creative flexibility, and the wide colour temperature range makes it easy to match different environments. The build quality is great with its solid metal body, and the OLED display makes adjustments straightforward. The battery life lasts a good while, which is impressive given the brightness it puts out. It’s lightweight and easy to carry, making it perfect for photography, video, or even as a handy fill light. A fantastic, portable lighting solution that punches well above its size. Highly recommended!

Great bit of kit. 360 different colours across the rainbow and various modes for standard lighting plus simulations for things like TV glow, club lights, strobes and emergency vehicle beacons. The battery life isnt amazing, but its also a few dozen ultrabright LEDs so thats not exactly surprising. It has a USB-C charging port so either plug it in or have a battery bank ready if you’re outside. The main issue as I see it is, the lowest setting is still quite bright, for which I’ve given two pictures between 1% brightness and 100% brightness on just the red setting in a white bathroom with no natural lighting. It will only go up to 60% brightness while charging, which is both a great feature to preserve the integrity of the battery, and a minus because you almost certainly will need to keep it plugged in if you’re filming for extended periods. There is a selector function that isnt well described in the instructions. Essentially you have a menu button, a rocker selector switch, and a volumn style wheel. The rocker selector switch also pushes in like a button - this is what is not well described. This is not a big deal at all, once you know it, you know it. Those are the only negatives. It lights in every colour, its solid, well constructed. I wouldnt test dropping it but the case feels very protective. Its likely aluminium as its not magnetic, and while not heavy by any means, it has a heft to it that to me, gives an feel of reliability. The buttons are - how to describe this - encouragingly exact and delightfully clunky. Its a real power switch. They are small but they are very useable. Its incredibly well designed, even down to the diffusing glass on the front that disperses the light evenly. Its very small, it can be used basically anywhere, and be attached to any standard camera tripod. Its a great piece of kit all round, very solid and does more or less exactly what its meant to. For the price, its really quite incredible.

Always reluctant to leave reviews, because at the time of purchase or a few months after. A lot of kit has been great ... then stops working etc. Positives about this Smallrig light, Great, small, light compact light. Doesn't take up much room in your kit bag. Powerful light. , I I have had quite a few lights from Amazon. Some are more expensive. They were clunky, cheaply made, and haven't lasted more than a year with minimal use. Those who are new to photography and videography. It is tempting to buy cheaper items but I can speak from 6+ years experience. Pay for quality. Save money in the long run! NEGATIVES: The charging cord is SHORT. I have had to buy a longer charging cord so I can plug it in and use it for a longer period whilst filming. Fully charged, It lasts about an hour tops. The last two times I used it cut out mid-interview leaving us with poor room lighting. (I have since purchased a longer charging cord since.) These are just little things to think about when purchasing. NO MOUNT INCLUDED: It doesn’t come with a mount’ and I didn’t want to use a ‘cheap’ mount with it.I bought the Smallrig camera monitor mount to use with it Smallrig. Light but Very well made. Easy to use/adapt on the fly. Smallrig is starting to be my 'Go to' company for all my videography accessory needs.

Light is nice and bright, unit is well built and it's great for filming. I'm really disappointed though because my unit only has 3 effects modes (A1 Flash, A2 Flash Fast and A3 TV Screen). UPDATED: unit has broken after less than two years. The on/off switch is faulty and I can't turn the light off.

Small rig are very reliable when it comes to camera mounts and rigs. But they need to work on the lights battery life. Nice products, bright and good colors, but the battery life is just not it.
