Very impressive little antenna with my Retrevis RA86 at 20 watts I can reach all 3 of the repeaters in Tucson, AZ.The size is very compact only 3-1/2” tall and mounted on a truck lip NMO mount.Ease of installation was super simple a 5 year old could install it and functionality is a no brainer no running is required giving you the maximum range out of this small package.

This is a good cross band antenna.But the GMRS channels are in the 2.5 SWR range. Not the greatest, but usable.If you want a “good” GMRS antenna do your research and get one that’s rated between 462-467m.But honestly no harsh complaints. Just wish the SWR was better in the GMRS range.

With the almost infinite amount of variables that exist when it comes to antennas, the mounting, and the performance I wanted to remain neutral on the reviews and their influence on my purchasing decisions. Post purchase opinion of the antenna is not so good. This is not a knock against the seller as I have seen this product on several eCommerce websites. I have been a ham for north of 30 years so I have a better than average understanding on antenna theory. This antenna was only resonant on the 2 meter band @ 144.100 - 1.2:1 and 50 ohms. It went south well before the FM part of 2 meters. The antenna preformed more like a dead short across the entire 70 cm band. It was a gamble at this price point so thankfully, I am not out a lot of $$ Even had the swr and the impedance worked out, that alone is not enough to say that it would have been a very efficient unit. It has very little to no gain on the best of conditions. You may want to look elsewhere for a low profile antenna.

This antenna is perfect for tossing on a roof mount if you don't want a massive whip up there. I honestly got this for daily use without worrying about smacking my antenna on trees as we head into winter.Little did I know this would become my preferred daily antenna. I really only use my whip antenna for really reaching out or if I'm transmitting outside the VHF/UHF ham bands. Inside the VHF/UHF ham bands I measured 1.3 and 1.6 SWR respectively. Getting up into GMRS it peaked at 1.8 SWR but that's still decent for the price.Great little antenna. I'm interested to see how it holds up to road salt and other winter nonsense.

Very low quality and limited range. Both receive and transmit.
