Stainless King Copper Travel Tumbler

So it won't let me review the newer variant of this product so I've edited this one and added pictures. This is an extremely poorly designed mug. First it is poorly balanced. See Stanley mugs for a better straight up instead of flared design. Second, the lid is huge and bulky (122g). It is massive. It doesn't need to be. See again competitor products for infinitely better design. Third, as with the previous iteration the disassembly and reassembly for cleaning MUST be precise, or it leaks. It is not easily cleaned and for a mug designed for milky drinks like coffee it is terrible. Fourth, I chose a brushed steel option so I don't know if the paint in drink issue still exists but it sure looks like a bad design for painting! Fifth, it is so so bad I have no idea why I tried the thermos brand again. Original review: Update, I havent used this in over a year because the lid was difficult to clean and the black paint started peeling away. I used it today and somehow the black paint flecks got in my drink so I decided to chuck it. Also not risking it in the rucksack was a good move. Once you've cleaned the lid you have to be very careful to ensure the seal is still good when you out it back together. Too risky. Unfortunately Thermos has stuck with this type of lid Original review: So this is an excellent product in that the insulation keeps a drink warm all day, the lid doesn't spill and I would feel quite comfortable having this knocking around somewhere. I wouldn't necessarily risk it in the middle of a rucksack though! The lid even has text so that you can see when it is 'open' or 'closed' - a nice touch. The only downsides are that it is huge and you can just about hold it with one hand comfortably. It is just shy of a 0.5L thermos flask so I suppose I should have known it was big!

It's nice product, but unfortunately I have an issue. I bought two of this in grey colour and in red. Leak proof as promised, comfortable to use, great shape, keeps warm for a long time, as promised. Great colours, both of them (grey and red, as promised). BUT! The sticker with logo "Thermos" fell of from the red cup on a first day!!!! Was really Disappointed with it, as it was bought as a present for my sister. I gave it to her and she sent me the images of fallen down sticker the second day. :((((( Unfortunately, I am not able to change it or return, as she leaves abroad :((( Really disappointed and upset 😡

Original review: Bough one for my boyfriend, he loves this thermos! The only downside is that it's a bit tricky to clean. Edit: Less then one year later, I can't say anything else than that I hate this thermos. It still keeps drinks hot for ages, can't deny that. But. I am the one who washes dishes in the house. There some fiddly bits inside the flask that are a pain to wash but the main problem is that I can't even open the flask! It was difficult to open from the beginning but with time, it's almost impossible to unscrew the lid, even my boyfriend struggles with it. Can't bin the flask either because he still likes using it.

I bought this as I'm about to start a new job with early starts. The mug itself seems great but it came with a stupid label on it which once peeled off has caused a mark on the mug. The mug is likely to still work fine (I've not yet tried it) but I do find it really annoying when companies charge a lot of money for "branded" items then proceed to destroy them with packaging. Rest assured if it doesn't keep my coffee warm tomorrow morning it will be being returned. I'm pretty sure you can get similar products un branded which will do just a good job for a fraction of the price so I would question anyone buying this now.

I bought this because I believed this to be a better quality product than my previous mug. I duly filled it with coffee, checked the lid was tight and the switch was in the closed position, then popped it in my bag. 2 hours later I reached in for it only to discover it had dumped the contents spoiling everything else in my bag. My immediate thought was perhaps I hadn't fastened the lid or closed the valve properly. I filled it with cold water, checked the lid was tightly sealed and the valve closed and then shook it over the kitchen sink. To my horror it sprinkled the water, so no error on my part. Returned to Amazon.

Wanting two simple one mug flasks the name which immediately sprung to mind was Thermos. Trusting their ad I purchased two King Travel Tumblers but the first time my wife used them was the last. Firstly the coffee lost temperature and secondly, cleaning it requires total stripping of the many plastic and rubber knobs and washers and drying and reassembling them - an impossible task for one with arthritic fingers, I contacted Thermos and their attitude was Tough Luck!! a decent firm would have offered to exchange them for an alternative. So £45 of my old age pension now languishes in the cupboard; waiting gifts for someone I dislike while I find an alternatives that work.

I have a thermos that I use for coffee to work, it's possible to drink from it as it has a drinking spout, but not as easily as with a cup like this. The other thermos will keep my coffee warm all day. In fact it works so well, when I made a fresh coffee at work from the boiler, put the lid on and forgot it was fresh an hour later I burned my mouth. Whilst this states hot for 5 hours, generally after a couple of hours the coffee is starting to get too cool. It's about enough to get to work (an hour) and drink the coffee. But if I have a longer journey as I'm working elsewhere, it's no good. It is however vastly better than anything like the costa branded re-usable cups. They extend the warmth of a drink by minutes not hours. This is a better option for drinking on the go and keeping it warm. But not for keeping it warm for hours if you're hiking or something. Took me a while to trust the top, which has a simple slide round to open/close top, but it worked well and I soon felt safe enough to just checked it was shut and chuck it in my bag. The other flask I have from Thermos is their ultimate stainless steel travel beaker, which I can't fault for the keeping hot job. just a little less elegant to drink from! Drinking - the vacuum technology is amazing, it keeps the drink Incredibly hot for a very long time. Perhaps to long, You will need to adapt to adding cold water to you're hot drink of choice or face the peril of a burnt tongue and tea tasting meal deals for that working week. Besides an amazing build quality the Pro's pretty much end here if you are a car commuter looking for a travel mug. Handling - The build design is definitely durable and sleek but comes with its issues, The Steel outer body allows for absolutely no grip between you're legs. A Rubber Gimp suit would allow for Purchase but I would fear the judgment of onlooking travelers, Instead I choose to wrap Mine in Duct tape which has done the job. This really is a massive problem. Build - A good car Mug should have a design which limits the time spent paying attention to it, This Tumblers Lid lock has four Separate positions, Going clock wise they are "Open, Closed, Open, Closed" - This is shite. The open positions give a lethargic Click to confirm their situations while the closed Positions offer nothing, The Clicking action actually begins to make it practical for car use but it is let down by the Four separate fiddly points. This all being said the Drinking holes are small enough I doubt much heat could escape while left in one of two open positions which is my preferred way to use. If you aren't intending to drive and use this its great, if you are intending to drive I'd recommend looking for something else.

Hat die Heißgetränke auch im Winter Schön lange warm gehalten, Stundenangaben kannn ich nicht machen da es immer nach spätestens 2 Stunden leer war, aber in dem Zeitfenster keine merkliche Temperaturveränderung. Verschluss ist dicht. Öffnen und Schließen geht gut, Flüssigkeitsabgabe ist angenehm, gut zu reinigen. Außerdem sieht er super aus.
