iOpener Tool Kit opening compatible with iPad screen tablet display lcd glass diy

Used repeatedly for removing the back of my old OnePlus 6 and replacing the battery. Easy to use and good selection of tools included. You just need some patience for the heated pad.

Seems pricey at first but it's only when you receive it and start using it that you realise this is actually a one stop shop for opening any device, great little kit!

Really nice product, very good quality

Does not help to loosen the glue on ipads - Still ended up having to break the glass and scrape the shards out. Simply does not get hot enough (following the written instructions) and a good hair dryer or heat gun is a much better option. The little extras you get are good quality, but ultimately this is massively overpriced and I wish I hadn't have bothered.

The tools are good but the gel open pad is not very effective a hair dryer worked so much better.

Used this to open up a Galaxy S6 Edge. great little kid that made it far easier to accomplish the challenge of opening an S6. Instructions seem to be a bit off for the iopener, I had to heat it for 40 seconds in a 1000W microwave for it to melt the adhesive enough for me to open it.

Worked well will do the job just be careful to fully loosen the glue with heat first

The spudger, picks, etc are very good, however the main point of this more expensive kit is the gel opener. I tried to use it to open a galaxy S8 and it was a total failure, the glue never lossened at all despite repeated applications of heat with the gel opener. I eventually used a heat gun, although as I feared, the heat was a little to much and some pixels on the screen edges are now yellowed. If I have to open a phone again I'll try a cheap phone LCD separator that can control the temperature precisely.

Habe das Set zum öffnen meines HP 850 G5 Notebooks gekauft um eine SSD-Festplatte nachzurüsten. Die Qualität des Sets ist wirklich sehr gut und das Gerät war nach wenigen Minuten demontiert. Bei der Recherche eines geeigneten Sets bin ich bei diesem hier gelandet, da mich der Umfang und Preis überzeugt hat. Komisch fand ich bei der Recherche der iFixit Produkten lediglich, dass die Preise der einzelnen Sets am Markt total chaotisch angeordnet sind. Oft kosten Sets mit weniger Umfang deutlich mehr, als größere Sets....

I bought this kit to try and remove the cracked screen from an old cell phone. Based on other reviews, I was expecting to end up setting the iOpener aside in favor of a hair dryer, but after a little experimentation to figure out how how it needed to get and lot of patience, it actually worked pretty well. The rest of the prying and scraping tools worked as well as expected, and they mostly all came in useful at some point or another during the process. If I had a gripe it's that the swiveling top on the screw driver that's supposed to let you effectively turn in in place doesn't really spin very well. I didn't need it for this job, and I've got their nicer aluminum version already so this wasn't a big deal for me.

La panoplie idéale pour démonter tous les smartphones ! Un peu déçu de la qualité des outils d'ouvertures en triangles. Cependant, le reste est impeccable ! Utilisé pour démonter un Nexus 6P (Note de 2 de réparabilité) , sans problèmes et avec une difficulté moyenne. Bref, c'est un bon investissement ce kit !

Non avendo una pistola ad aria calda ho scelto questo kit per l’apertura del tablet e relativa rimozione del display incollato. Scaldato l’opener nel microonde a massima potenza per circa 40 secondi. Raggiunta la temperatura tra gli 80 e 90 gradi (misurata con termometro a infrarossi) e posto sulla cornice del display non è stato complesso smontare lo stesso comunque con molta cura e attenzione. In definitiva, per me il prodotto è ottimo!
