A: You can easily slip cords through the divide between the two back panels--no need for drilling.

**Q: Does this come in any colors other than walnut or white? Grey or black?**
A: No

**Q: Does the smell ever go away? I ordered this and haven't assembled as it is a gift for my boyfriend, but it smells terrible? Is this expected or did i**
A: Mine didn't really have a smell besides brand new wood smell. Make sure everything is correct with it. But any smell should go away unless something is rotten. Mine is still in great condition and is beyond solid.
