Yes, the top is a very sheer mesh which allows light to come in easily. I purchased 2 of these and I'm very happy with them.

It could if you placed lighter moving blankets over screens...I may even try this

Yes, it's not bad to put together..just takes about 30 to 45 mins..but its very nice and you can't see thru it either...everything comes with it..

No, it is not possible to assemble the two bonds together
