Q: I have a samsung curve soundbar, the soundbar itself is not working but the wireless sub is, will the sonos playbase connect to my samsung subwoofer

I suspect not as the sonos products are designed to connect seamlessly by wi-fi. Suggest giving Sonos a ring to confirm.

Q: Does it connect to your wifi wireless

Yes. The only connections the playbase needs is a power lead and optical cable into the TV. It connects wireless to the wifi and also, if you have them, a wireless connection to the sub woofer and play 1 surround speakers for unbelievable 5.1 surround sound.

Q: Does the cable stick out of the back making it deeper than the quoted 38cm? My unit is 38cm exactly so worried it will overhang if cables stick out.

The cable does come out of the back of the unit (in the middle), but the ‘sticking out’ aspect is minimalised because there is an indentation of approximately 1.5cm at the point where the cable comes out. It MAY stick out ever so slightly, but it would be negligible, less than half a centimetre I’d say.
