I bought the SlimFast chocolate protein drinks for my mom, who’s older and doesn’t always have much of an appetite, and I want to make sure she is getting some nutrition. These have been a great option for her. She likes to watch her carbs (even though she doesn’t need to), so these work well for giving her something filling without feeling heavy. She says the chocolate flavor is delicious and smooth, not chalky, and easy to drink. She also enjoys the coffee-flavored ones, but the chocolate is definitely a go-to. I send these to her via Amazon often, and she does not get tired of them. It’s nice knowing she’s getting protein and nutrients when she doesn’t feel like eating much. Overall, these have been a convenient and tasty choice that she genuinely looks forward to having.

I love these shakes for a quick grab and go meal! As a busy mother of two, the easier a meal the better! The chocolate flavor is my personal favorite and not chalky whatsoever. It smells and looks like a chocolate shake making you feel like you are actually having a "sweet treat" without the additional calories! With 20g of protein and 180 calories in each shake this is a great light meal to achieve your weight loss goals! Personally I have struggled to lose the baby weight since having my 2nd child and the Slim Fast brand never fails. If you want to see real results and stick to a diet plan, these shakes are perfect for you!

Good meal replacement but a little too sweet for me.

I used the Slim Fast Powder which I found great success in. It took time to make the shakes so I thought I’d try the liquid Slim Fast in the bottles despite the price being higher than the powder mix. I drank one at noon for 4 days in a row & began to notice a change in my stomach & need to have a bowel movement during the middle of the day when I normally don’t have one. The bowel movements became terrible unlike any I’ve ever experienced. The only thing that changed in my diet was I added the Slim Fast shakes. I decided to goggle Slim Fast & this is what I found: “Side Effects of Slimfast are Fat in stool, Bowel incontinence, Flatus with discharge, Oily spotting, Increased urge to pass bowels, Oily evacuation, Increased bowel movements.” All of this explains why I experienced what I did. This was my personal experience with Slim Fast in the liquid shake form. There are ingredients in the liquid shake form that are not in the powder mix. Possibly different ingredients led to this. For a heads up use caution when trying for the first time & if you experience any of the above on the first day definitely stop. This isn’t a returnable item.

These taste good. They have no funky aftertaste. I use these for two purposes, and they work for both. First, for weight loss. I was surprised that they really can double as a meal and be okay. If I'm going to use them for that I'm more likely to use them for breakfast. I've used them for breakfast and lunch on occassion (honestly, more often for purpose two below) and they are enough. Second, for on the go on a day I will not have time to get something to eat. It's calories. It's filling. I can get by without being hangry or getting blood sugar drop headaches. They aren't that bad warm. For the elderly, these can be a little hard to open. The cap has sharp ridgings, which I've had a few elderly ladies tell me is uncomfortable.
