Great Pencil and price
This is my 1st mechanical Pencil that's not just a local cheap one, so it's hard for me to compare products. But I can say this much... It is a quality product Feels very nice in my hand, and writes very smoothly. I have the 0.5mm version and I've had no lead breakage so far (after about an hour of use) Although I can't really comment on it's longevity yet, it's all metal and and seems very well made (I expect this Pencil will last as long as any other well made product) The price is great (it's 5£ more on every other site I looked at, including eBay) I like it so much I might invest in the white version (924 25) with a 2mm lead, because this lead is very fine and it might be helpful to have a thicker option for my sketches Very highly recommended, I honestly can't imagine a £20 product being any better than this, unless I needed an auto-rotate pencil, I'd say this is the one to get, and save yourself a few pounds I know this isn't the most useful review, but you will not be disappointed in this product Very happy I might even invest in either a 2mm or 0.7/9, because my lines are very thin with this pencil and I can see a use for something with a bigg

Feels like a well made and solid piece of kit
Lovely Japanese made mechanical pencil that feels great in the hand and the fine knurling on the grip does its job perfectly without feeling too rough. Theres a nice weight to it that inspires confidence in the build quality, but light enough to not be a hindrance in use. It also looks the part in a deep metalic blue, with chrome accents. I have been using it for a while now and wish i'd made the change from normal pencils a lot sooner as its worth the price not having to constantly sharpen it. A quick click and you're ready to go. I can't comment on its durability yet, but from the look and feel of it, I think this will last a long time. I'll be sure to update if it does fail prematurely though. Edit: Just added a couple of pictures of the internals. Mine is the .5mm version and has a plastic inner tube to store the leads, but the mechanism for extending the lead is made from brass.

Build quality
Best mech pen imo. Feel, weight and build quality is top notch

Probably should use 2b leads or harder.
Leads got stuck after middling usage. I had to dismantle the pencil to clear some powdered leads. This may be because I used 4b leads which are softer. Otherwise seems to be good for ease of use.

Hard to believe how good these pencils are for the money.
The Staedtler 925 35 (and 925 25) series are such great pencils, after purchasing and being completely impressed with the 925 25-20 I decided to go for one in the midnight blue finish. The 0.9mm is one of my favourite lead sizes so no surprises there, its excellent for general sketching, scribbling, drawing and doodling, I like it for note taking too. Of course the only difference between the 925 25 and 925 35 series is the finish and this dark blue is very nice indeed, it's very classy and well finished. Not inaccurate to say flawless, the build quality and usability are excellent. If looking at the fine details the only difference I can see is the lead reservoir tube, the 925 25-20 has a metal (looks to be brass) tube where as the 925 35-09 has a plastic tube. Probably something to do with the difference in lead sizes, but it doesn't detract from the pencil in any way. I have been using various Rotring pencils for a number of years so I have a good yard stick for comparing the Staedtlers. These pencils are a bargain and are comparable to mechanical/clutch pencils costing far, far more.

Nice pencil
Lovely to write with, the rubber is a bit small.

STAEDTLER - JAPAN Does It Again - 2 mm Core Blue 925 35-20 N Mechanical Pencil
This item was purchased by me very recently on Amazon; it was a case of my wanting to know what it was like, having already invested in the Rotring equivalent. Well I was not disappointed; it is an all metal job, the body is of aluminum and the inner core that holds the lead is of brass or something like that so it is robust in the extreme but that is good. Being of the knock clutch type rather than the drop clutch which seems to pervade the 2 mm types it means that when you press the button the lead advances by a tiny amount and that is good as it is easier to advance to the point you want. One thing here, it does have a lead indicator sleeve so you can put in the lead type of your choice ( HB comes as standard with this item ) and this move the dial to indicate what it is. OK some of you maybe wondering why I have not spoken about the lead pointer in the top? Well there isn't one and guess what? It's no problem, I personally prefer the lead pointers that you buy separately for pointing leads. One reason is that these pencil tops are easily lost if dropped while in the park sketching as a fore instance. Two I find that the 2 mm lead pointers that are not integral actually point better. Last I understand that none of the manufacturers seem to do these pencil caps/tops as spare items and without it the pencil is pretty useless so. Back to the good bits, it is a superbly balanced piece of kit and the knurling at the front of the pencil is amongst the best of its type on a mechanical pencil and I cannot find fault with it - so this is a tool that I would recommend either sketching/drawing or taking notes or just writing.

Perfect size of grip. Perfect grippy texture of grip. Beautiful industrial design. Nice blue colour. A pleasure to use. My whole family have settled on this model being the best, and we have several other quality mechanical pencils like e.g. Rotring 600. The only weak point is that the tip bends easily if dropped. Have happened several times in our house. My kids use DIY caps on theirs that they use in school. I have bought 7 or more of this mechanical pencil. Will probably get one of the other colour options at some point as well, but they do for some reason cost 3 times as much...

I recently purchased the Staedtler 2.0mm Mechanical Pencil Night Blue Series and I am absolutely thrilled with its performance! The pencil has a sleek design and feels comfortable to hold, making it perfect for long writing sessions. The lead is smooth and produces clear lines, while the retractable tip is a convenient feature. I love the night blue color of this pencil, it adds a touch of style to my stationary collection. Overall, I highly recommend this mechanical pencil for anyone looking for quality and style in their writing tools!
