HP OfficeJet 5740 e-All-in-One Printer, Instant Ink Compatible - Black

Had an old HP Photosmart 5515 which suddenly died on me late Wednesday afternoon! Stuck without a printer, I ordered this 5740 as a replacement which, with Prime, came the very next day.Pros - very easy set up, took me less than 5 minutes. It synced immediately with the HP app on my iPad, which is one of the reasons why I wanted another HP printer as the app is SO good to use. Initial prints are all excellent and fairly quick. Scanner has a top-feed (which my old one didn't have) so its just a little easier to use the scanner. The onboard navigation screen and system is really easy to use and the screen itself is nice and bright so it's easy to see what you're doing. The paper drawer is much bigger than my old one so fewer trips to the paper storage.Cons - I didn't know beforehand that the colored ink cartridges are combined rather than separate, which might mean a lot of wasted ink when the cyan runs out but the other colors are still fairly full. The printer has a wider footprint, much bigger than I expected, so not so handy if space is a premium. The paper drawer doesn't seem to pull right out so feeding in replacement paper is a bit clumsy.Overall though, I can forgive the slight shortcomings for what (at first use anyway) seems like a great all-in-one for quite cheap money. Defo recommend from me.

Bought this primarily to get wi-fi print capability and to replace a Canon Pixma that had jammed irrevocably! Very pleased with this HP product with respect to design and quality of printing but a few niggles. HP help software is a minefield to search through to find relevant sections and the printer screen display instructions seemed to need upgrading with relevant instructions for Windows 10 software in particular setting up the wi-fi connection. However wi-fi printing is great now it is installed with Windows 10 and works across all our other Apple wi-fi hardware.It appears that you cannot print multiple photos onto A4 photo paper and there is no other size option than 10 X 15cms for single photo prints although this may be buried somewhere in HP Help but cannot face the hassle of wading through the 'minefield'. Printer is a little slow in double sided mode. Scan function appears to work well but options for handling/processing the scanned file seem limited so will stick with my CanoScan. Apart from the foregoing limitations it is a good quality product that is supplied with all the necessary cables, ink and photo paper to get you going and it does what is says on the label provided it goes through its auto set up processes without glitches. Hope it is cheaper on ink than the Canon. Final note to owners of nervous dogs: the printer noisily ejects a small collection tray before it prints. You can leave this permanently out but it is fragile and could get broken off.

Excellent all in one! Has a slightly larger footprint due to the top loading feeder but still compact overall. Set up was very simple and the email print service is very fast and simple to use with the HP App for Android. Print is sharp for the price point, copying quality is very good. Screen is very small but accurate touch functionality and the short video clips are helpful to know where to load paper etc.This was bought to replace an Epson XP-405 that was absolutely awful. So far very pleased with this! Will update review if any problems are found.

The printer and all bits and bobs were very well-packaged. Easy to open and easy to remove all of the securing tape etc. It was great, also, that the box contained everything that was needed...and more. All necessary leads were included (including two power leads; one for UK and one for Europe). Two ink cartridges were also enclosed ( black and colour ), as was a small pack of photo paper. How many times, during my childhood, that I received a toy or gadget for Christmas and birthdays and the batteries weren't included: None of that type of disappointment here. It was really easy to set up, even for a reluctant gadget setter-upper like me. It's a printer/copier/scanner/fax. I'm only going to use the first three. First thing I did was to print a standard letter; great alignment and sharp printing. Next, I scanned a photograph and a lottery ticket. The detail and colours in the resultant scans were spot-on, as was the sharpness. I then photocopied a lottery ticket (because it has a 'watermarked' background and is pink in colour). The copy was indiscernible from the original. I read-up on reviews and recommendations before I decided which printer to purchase. The HP5740 had overall great reviews. The reviews also contained a number of small gripes; slow wifi printing, slightly noisy operation. I don't use the wifi aspect, so I can't comment on that. As regards the 'noise' mullarkey; yes, it makes a few clunky sounds, but that does not detract from the speed of operation, nor the fantastic quality of scans etc. The touch-screen display is also clear to read, easy to operate and it takes you through clear, concise instructions to get you to where you want to be. The size of the printer is as small as it can be for the functions it performs. The design is sleek and handsome, finished in mainly matt black. I haven't bought a new printer for over ten years. I knew that I wanted greatly-improved function and quality for my new printer, and I knew up to what standard I wanted for prints and copying. I had estimated that I would have to spend about £150 for my expectations. It turns out that I only needed to spend just over half that amount to meet my needs. Apart from longevity, I can thoroughly recommend this printer for quality and value for money.

Does the job, quite fast, but runs out of ink quickly, and I thought it would do automatic double sided copies as well as prints - it does not - if I want to do a double sided copy I have to do manually one at a time - not good when I have a pile of things to copy on both sides of the page.

Chiesta in regalo per il mio 22esimo compleanno : è perfetta. Mi sono scelta questa stampante con cura nel corso di vari giorni affinché soddisfasse tutte le mie esigenze. Questa stampante ha tutto ciò che serve : stampa fronte/retro per comodità e risparmio carta, ha l'opzione fax, ha lo scanner sia manuale, sia automatico per più fogli (il che significa che posso caricare nel carrello 5+ fogli separati, e lui me li scannerizza in automatico. La stampante si può usare anche senza computer e cosa ancora più comoda è la sua funzione wireless. Ho collegato la stampante sulla rete di casa in modo che ogni computer collegato alla mia rete, possa vederla ed utilizzarla, quindi ottima anche come stampante familiare (in questo modo, il cavo da utilizzare sarà solo uno : quello di alimentazione; così si può posizionare la stampante dove si preferisce). Stampa anche le foto, ma è una opzione che consiglio di evitare, le stampanti non sono ancora adatte a stampare foto, meglio spendere 0,40€ dal fotografo per una foto di ottima qualità di stampa.Infine, ultima nota positiva, ha le cartucce esistenti in versione standard ed in versione XXL per i consumatori più accaniti ed entrambe hanno un prezzo vantaggioso rispetto la media, si rientra nei 10-12€ su Amazon, che porta il consumatore ad acquistare il prodotto originale piuttosto che vivere di mezze ricariche di qualità scadente.In conclusione, mi sento di consigiare questa stampante a chiunque abbia lo spazio necessario per averla in casa, fa veramente tutto, ed ha un prezzo contenuto.

Je ne suis pas une professionnelle, et mon ancienne imprimante avait plus de 10 ans, donc, mon référentiel était sans doute un peu daté !Je trouve que cette imprimante est rapide et imprime avec une qualité au rdv. Le mode recto-verso nous a permis de faire de sacrées économies de papier, et le mode chargeur est très pratique pour les scans ou photocopies à la chaine. De plus, je trouve qu'elle est d'un faible encombrement par rapport à tout ce qu'elle fait !L'écran de contrôle est clair et simple. J'adore le petit cliquet qui sort automatiquement pour que les feuilles ne tombent pas par terre lorsque l'on imprime ! Sans doute un gadget, mais il m'arrivait très fréquemment avant de retrouver mes copies étalées par terre !Les connexions internet, ordinateurs (2 PC, un chrome book et 2 smartphones) se sont faites sans que j'ai besoin de me poser de questions.Par contre, je suis bluffée par la consommation d'encre...là, je regrette ma vieille imprimante...nous avons attendu 2 mois avant de nous prononcer sur le contrat HP qui via un abonnement envoie les cartouches directement à la maison, mais avec un mensuel d’environ 300 copies et la vitesse à laquelle les cartouches descendent, alors il est évident que ce contrat est fait pour nous !Bref, je reste ravie de cet achat !

La manipulación del paquete una vez embalado ha sido nefasto, llegó con un golpe que rompió la caja y el forespan interior. Puse como destino la casa de mis padres porque estoy ausente casi todo el día asi que lo recepcionaron ellos (personas mayores), si llego a recepcionar el paquete no lo hubiera aceptado.Afortunadamente la AIO no sufrió ningún daño y funciona perfectamente.De la AIO decir que es una gran máquina, ya disponía de una antigua HP AIO pero sin red ni alimentador automático para copias. Una vez configurada, rápidamente a través de su pantalla táctil, he realizado varias impresiones desde el iPhone, iPad, Windows 10, Linux sin instalación de ningún software. La tengo por red utilizando wifi y 0 problemas.Es capaz de realizar vArias fotocopias por si sola sin necesidad de ir alimentando hoja por hoja ya que dispone de un alimentador automático.Teniendo en cuenta de que la he comprado por black friday, ha sido un verdadero chollo. De todas formas el precio actual de la impresora no es caro para la gran AIO que es.Un 10 para Amazon por la rapidez en el envío y un 3 para el transporte que casi arruina la compra.

Ich habe den Drucker für meinen Freund und mich bestellt da unsere 2 Canon Drucker nach ca 1,5 Jahren absolut unbrauchbar waren.Ich habe den Drucker am 01. 02. Bestellt und kam mir Prime super schnell am 03.02. Vormittags.Verpackung ist nicht unnötig viel Plastik und auch nur das nötigste an Karton und Styropor verwendet worden.Der Drucker kann einwandfrei und ohne Schäden an. 2 Bedienungsanleitungen, 2 Stromkabel (1x für die Steckdosen in den Amerika (NEMA-Stecker) und die ganz normalen wie in Europa (Eurosrecker)Bedienung ist super leicht. Letztendlich musst di nur dem Drucker anschalten und er sagt dir was du tun musst.Auch die APP im Handy runter zu laden ist sehr simpel. Ich habe nicht viel Ahnung von Elektronik und habe es binnen 10 Minuten geschafft, inklusive registrieren, W-Lanschlüssel, Einstellungen und einrichten des Druckers, Blätter einlegen, Patronen einlegen (natürlich 1x schwarz und 1x Farbe in original beim Drucker dabei) , dass erste Dokument via Handy auszudrucken (samsung galaxy s7). Ich war so begeistert, weil der Drucker nicht nur von außen genial aussieht und echt etwas her macht, sondern auch alle möglichen Funktionen hat und super leicht zu bedienen ist. Selbst für die, die keine Elektronik-Freaks sind. ;)Man kann einstellen in der App, dass wenn die Farbe ausgeht automatisch bestellt wird und man sich keine Gedanken um Nachschub machen muss.Er hat alles und wenn ich daran denke wie schwer es war meinen Canon Drucker mit dem WLAN zu verbinden, dass er mal die Patronen erkannt hat, bis ich mal etwas drucken konnte und wie lange das gedauert hat und die Qualität war abscheulich. Ich habe ihn ein halbes jahr verwenden können dann hatte er ständig Fehlermeldungen.Und diese Farbqualität ist von dem HP wirklich super! Unterschied wie Tag und Nacht.Ich hoffe ich werde auch in Zukunft viel Freude damit haben!

Multifuncion ( impresora, scaner, fax, fotocopiadora )Antes de nada e de decir que el fax no lo he probado, aunque cuando hice la instalacion dio correcto.Pros: .- Es una impresora rapida y silenciosa. .- Puedes imprimir documentos a doble cara. .- La puedes conectar directamente al ordenador ( cable USB ), al moden a traves de cable o conexión wifi. .- Puedes imprimir documentos desde tarjeta DS o con una memoria USB. .- Calidad fotografica Buena con papel fotografico HP Glossy 250 g/m2. ( no he probado con otros )Contras: .- A pesar de ser muy facil de instalar no viene bien explicado en la documentación de la impresora. .- El manual de la impresora me lo tube que descargar de la web de HP. si viene en el CD yo no lo he encontrado. .- Es un poco voluminosa,Conclusion: .- Creo que ha sido una buena compra, relación calidad precio ( 93 € ). .- Si te decides a comprarla, primero monta los cartuchos de la impresora y luego instala el sotfware. Descarga de la web el manual. .- Envio correcto, un dia antes de plazo.
