A: Yes the Numatic nrv20021 uses standard three pin plug.  Have found it a very powerful vacuum cleaner albeit a rather heavy item to move around the home and for carrying upstairs.  It's very easy to empty the dust pouch and the long flex is very useful.

A: We had the old Henry with the hi/low switch previously but I can assure you that the suction on the new one is as good if not better . There is only an on/off switch on this model but It really is very powerful .
