I love the frame I would recommend it to anyone tufting. My only complaint was one of the arms that holds the yarn broke after the 2nd time using it. The screw popped right out of the wood and stripped it. Its minor tho.

This may not be big enough to create a full area rug, but it's got plenty of room to learn how to make one.The box is heavy, but nearly half that weight may be the big C clamps, which the instruction sheet says are not included. Once I spread out all the parts and looked at the single page of instructions, I figured out how everything went pretty easily. It looks like I got everything put together right, and it is a strong, solid frame with everything you need to hold the fabric and yarn.The single sheet of instructions, however, weren't as helpful as I had hoped. There is a suggestion to access additional instructions, by scanning a strange radial pattern that neither me nor my phone could identify or use.But now that it's assembled, I'm excited to get fabric on it and get to tufting!

This is a heavy-duty, solid wood frame. Took me about 20 minutes to put together. I do have a few issues with it, however:1) the size - it's only 27.5" square, while most tufting fabric is 39" wide. That's a lot of overhang, so not only are you limited on the size of your piece, but you're also wasting fabric.2) the wingnut assembly is a bad design - they project from the back of the frame which makes it difficult to lay the frame down flat, both to add the tack strips and if you ever want to store it lying down. You will need to lay it on a blanket or something to keep it from damaging your floor.3) lack of brace pieces. I wish it had some rear feet to further help keep it stable when clamped to the table.I wasn't expecting this frame to come with clamps, and in fact the assembly instruction sheet say's they're not included - however there was a box of clamps worked into the packaging and it certainly seems like it was supposed to be there. Unfortunately the side of the box was torn and one of the clamps was missing - I received one clamp and an empty plastic bag that should have contained the second one.In all I think this is a decent starter frame for small projects, or if you really want an all-in-one kit that's easy to assemble. Otherwise you're much better off making your own (there's lots of instructional videos on youtube).

While we did get this sorted out, there are quite a few things that can be improved in the instructions. First of all, the side with the spool holders and yarn guides do need to be facing a specific direction with the countersink inside the frame. this will allow the screws to go in deeper to hold it tighter. It won't be completely ruined but it will be stronger if fitted properly. Another important thing to mention is the tack strips have to be so the tacks are angled away from the center of the frame. This box does have the clamps you will need for holding the frame to a table edge; it was unclear in the product description. Otherwise, this is a very strong frame and it is made of good quality materials.EDIT: The seller has great customer service and they helped me understand the instructions better. There is a video in the product listing which shows you how and has greater detail than the instruction sheet in the package. I appreciate that they took the time to reach out about the issues I had. Highly recommended. As I stated above: the product is high quality and of good materials.

This was way more heavy than I expected. I would have preferred something already assembled because it is a lot of work to put together. It is not the biggest tufting frame but it is perfect for my needs.

This really is the tufting beginner kit, accompanied with this frame (nail bars, woodworking clamps, installation instructions, and installation tools) is everything you need to turn your canvas & yarn into a rug. I like that the thick wood frame frame wood is very solid & easy to assemble. I also like that it can be used as a desktop frame. Its a smaller frame which is good for beginner practice & smaller project pieces. The manual was very detailed & helpful. Terrific tufting frame for the value & accessory addition.

This thing is HEAVY. I had concerns when ordering it that it would move around a lot, but that was alleviated the second I felt how heavy the box was. This thing isn't going anywhere (Though you should still clamp it to your table).This is well-made and able to hold the tufting fabric perfectly taut for use with a tufting gun. It holds a decent section of fabric at a time, so you don't really need to worry about anything but getting your design put into the fabric correctly.No complaints!

This frame arrives needing assembly, which I expected. What I did not expect was the quality of the wood and craftsmanship. It's a sturdy, heavy beast, and it firmly holds the material taut. I am pleasantly surprised by its quality and value for the price. 10/10!
