National Lampoon's Vacation Collection [Chevy Chase] [Blu-ray] [2013] [Region Free]

I just finished watching the Vacation Collection, and wow—these movies never get old! Every Griswold adventure is packed with perfectly timed humor, ridiculous mishaps, and unforgettable moments. Chevy Chase is at his comedic best, and the whole family’s antics are just as funny today as they were decades ago.

Fantastic films, the type you can watch anytime of the year and have a good laugh.

I recently remembered these movies so was pleased to see that there was an affordable Blu-ray boxed set available - I was even more pleased as I didn't even realise there was a fourth movie. This is now branded as 'The Classic Vacation Collection' despite the photos for the listing showing 'Ultimate Collection'. It's really nicely presented especially considering the low price with each movie having it's own 12mm case all contained in a box and outer sleeve. My only criticism would be that the cases are the awful ECO cases that are full of holes but that sadly seems to be standard for many Blu-rays now.

All four films are worth watching but the standout is Christmas Vacation probably the best Christmas film ever made!

A entertaining set of films whatever the weather.

This set is great value for money. You get all four films on Blu-ray including Vegas Vacation for the first time on high def. All are in 1080P 16x9 1.85:1 ratio. All have have DTS HD MA soundtracks. National Lampoons Vacation and European Vacation are 1.0 and run for 98 mins and 94 mins respectively. Christmas Vacation is in 2.0 and runs for 97 mins. Vegas Vacation is in 5.1 and runs for 94 mins. Subtitles include English,French and Spanish plus more. Special Features:- All have Audio Commentaries except Vegas Vacation which only has a trailer. The first film also has an introduction,a trailer and an 85 minute documentary. Film two just has an audio commentary by Chevy Chase. The PQ on all four are a step up from DVD and are worthy of being on Blu-ray but wouldn't score more than 3.0 out of 5.0 with the exception of Vegas which is the best quality and gets 3.5-4.0 IMO which isn't a great surprise as it's the latest one. The AQ gets the job done focusing on voices and music mainly and is clear with no hiss etc. This UK box set is great value for money and finally we have all four together for the first time on Blu-ray unlike the US which has them for sale separately. All the films come in two standard Blu-ray Amaray cases. Two films are in one and two in the other. Both cases are housed in a cardboard slip case. Four discs altogether. (Each film has its own disc) If you like these films this is the best version to own.

Classic collection at a decent price.

For any vacation movie fans this blu ray box set is a must, worth the price just for the behind the scenes feature alone which is an hour and twenty five minutes long showing key clips from the original movie and getting the casts comments and thoughts looking back on the movie today, this feature was obviously put together recently and had my wife and I in stitches in places, very funny. As for the movies themselves having the four films on blu-ray is just a bonus, obviously these have been reviewed to death before and if you are reading this you all ready know how good the franchise was. The picture quality is noticably better than dvd, the sound is average but who really cares about that? Well worth buying, 5 stars.

Great collection! The menu’s are good, the sound and video is perfect for being a 1080p-version. Love it!

A must-have for your 80's classic movie library. Okay, so the sequels pretty much blew chunks. That's a given. But it's nice to at least watch them again once in HD. So, it's worth it to buy the set in my opinion. If you have absolutely no desire at all to watch the sequels, then just get the original "Vacation" by itself. Thankfully this set does NOT include the recent "Vacation" with Ed Helms. What a total p.o.s. that was!!! The Blu-Ray for the original Vacation movie included in this set is the 30th Anniversary version, so it does have the cool "Inside Story" in the Special Features section. It's a well-done, in-depth review of the original movie with many of the original cast members being interviewed. That alone is worth the price of admission in my opinion. The transfer to Blu-Ray is very high quality in my opinion. I remember reading where someone gave these discs a negative review because the audio for the original "Vacation" was in mono. UMMMM, guess what, that's how they shot the movie. Check IMDb if you want. Scroll down to technical specs. Video and audio quality are awesome, so no doubt they went back to the film stock for the transfer. Enjoy!

2 dvd sur 2 dont le film de Noël... ne sont pas en français comme indiqué sur l'annonce... c'est bien dommage surtout pour les enfants qui n'ont pas pu voir le film pour Noël cette année
