This is a great cymbal, some of the HCS range is reputed to be poor because it's entry level but the 'ping' and 'ting' from this is wonderful. I've posted it to a striped down kit to replace a ride, and I've also had it mounted on a larger rock kit as an effect, it did both of those jobs admirably. It's not the easiest to fit in a cymbal case, but that's due to the shape and you'll get that with any bell cymbal. It's fairly solid but if anything happened to it, I'd replace it. In fact I'd probably buy one as a gift for another drummer because it's fairly cheap but a great sound.

As it's HCS series, you'd think its sound might not be that good. Well, thats not the case. This bell has a very distinct tone and is equally if not better than other expensive series or brands. It's widely useful as I've used it on top my snare, as a nano-hat and even stacked over cymbals etc. So, if you're thinking of getting a bell for your drum kit/percussion set up then I'd highly recommend it, for it's cheap price and great sound.

Very fun to play, for those looking for something interesting without breaking the bank.
