Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky Nickel Wound Electric Bass Strings - 45-105 Gauge

I don't usually use Ernie Ball strings but I bought these because they were a good price and on the off chance. I was glad I did, I have to say, as an all round string for playing at home, practicing and general noodling etc, they're absolutely spot on.They have a nice bright tone but not overly clanky, they feel nice under the fingers, not too much string noise, length was good as I have a string-thru bridge, and they sound nice when playing chords over many strings.I will be buying these again when I come to replacement as I think they are not only great value, but a great string in their own right.I use Fast Fret on the strings before and after use so they have lasted a very long time and have retained quite a lot of their bright tone and playability. I would recommend that you do similar with either Fast Fret or the D'Addario Waves equivalent. You can buy oil top ups for the little pads when they go dry too which saves a few quid and keeps your strings going longer.

These are the best bass guitar strings for the money. Stay brighter longer than the other brands I've tried and they are nice and smooth due the nickel wrap

These Slinky’s aren’t as rough as some round wounds I’ve tried. The 100/45s are perfect with lovely deep tone to accompany the new string zinginess. Unbelievable price! (I was paying more for strings over 20 yrs ago).

good strings, feel a bit metallic but that’s up to preference.i wish they offered a short-scale version of this !

Still my go to strings after trying many other brands and gauges. Have never broken one in practice or playing live. Long lasting, they sound great too
