It's hard to find a good fake tan and I've tried several different products. I recently purchased this and I have to say, it's impressive. Smooth and easy to apply. Dries extremely quickly. Has a 'chocolatey' scent which, for me, smells a bit synthetic - not over-keen on that but it fades to nothing over time and doesn't leave you smelling like yesterday's biryani! The result is a lovely, golden, glowing tan. My skin is medium in nature so I'm not sure how it would develop on lighter skins. I'll definitely be buying it again.

Ok so I've tried alot of gradual tanners and so far this seems to be the best, the only issue I have with every gradual tanner including this one is that you try to build the tan too dark it does turn orangey, in my experience and from what I've read it's a gradual tanner thing and its inevitable, the tanning creams that you put on and then wash off for an instant tan do tend to give a more natural brown tan and dont tend to lean orange, I think this will always be an issue with the gradual tanners but with that being said the reason this one seems to be the best gradual tanner I've found is because if i have built it up too much it doesnt seem to go as orangey as others plus it seems to do this magic thing whereby if it has gone a tad orange and I then have a shower it tones down the orange and leaves it a more natural looking tan, it's really bizarre, and I'm not talking even washing my skin I mean just letting the water run over my body, it seems to tone down the orange and take it back to a more natural looking tan, i dont know if anybody else has experienced this but it's kinda magic lol. If you apply this once with a decent covering you will wake up the next day with a very natural subtle tan, I does look as though you've just sunbathed, it takes the edge off of of pale skin and leaves you with a slight natural tan, I then reapply every other day or every 2 days, the reason being is like I said if you build this up too quickly just like every other gradual tanner it does turn you slightly orangey, I dont think we will ever escape this with gradual tanners, every single one I've tried nomatter how expensive does turn orangey if its built up too much, what ive found is that gradual tanners should only really be used if you only want a very subtle tan, if you use it in this way and dont overapply to get a deeper tan it will look natural and not orangey, if you want a really deep tan I really think the instant tanners that wash off look ten times more natural, they are more of a brown tan rather than leaning towards orange but that's just my personal experience, if this is used only for a subtle tan it is perfect. The other thing I love about this tanner is that it's the only one I've found that doesnt look bad on dry areas of skin or on my hands and feet, if it isnt overapplied like I said even if you mess up some areas it doesnt look terrible, it doesnt seem to cling to dry areas of skin. The best thing about this gradual tanner though is that it fades naturally like a natural tan would, it doesnt look stupid as its fading, it kinda blends in with your own skin as its fading off so you dont look like you applied tan and its fading with loads of patches, it's kinda undetectable as its fading. The only thing I'm not overlly keen on with this tanner is the scent, it's not grotesque but it's not great either, I swallow of reviews saying it's not bad and it isnt but i find it actually smells stronger and a little worse than some tanners that I've tried once it's completely soaked in, I rectify this though by using a nice smelling moisturiser for fake tans so it's not an issue but it does have a strong tanner smell, a bit like biscuit mixed with plastic is the only way I can explain it. I know by my review it doesnt come across like this stuff is that great lol but it really is I just wanted to be honest about the pros and cons, so far it's the best gradual that I've found, just remember that being a gradual that if you build it too much it will turn orangey, there must be something different in gradual tanners because the instant tans dont seem to. Overall if you use this sparingly and are looking for a very subtle hint of a tan so that you dont look ghastly white then this is the best you'll likely find it is extremely natural

Looking through reviews I was slightly hesitant to try this due to comments about the smell. It is strong smelling, mainly of shea that's overpowering enough to border chemical smell but it's manageable. The scent does dull after application and soaked in though. Lost a star due to this as it is a shock when you use it for the first time. I'm a very pale red head and after the first application I had slight colour on my top half within a couple hours but took about 12hours to show anything on my legs. Doesn't look orange at all which is an issue I've had with other brands. It stays wet long enough to get good coverage and buff out but drys fast enough you can be getting dressed 10minutes later. Skin feels amazing and so soft and moisturised which is a bonus for dry skin sufferers.

Perfect, streak free-tan. For context, I only use gradual tans on my body (not rinse-off) and have tried many that have ended badly in streaks. This one is natural and as it builds, it maintains consistency in colour. A surprise positive is that drying time on this is incredible! I applied this before bed, put my dogs in their crates for the night and filled a glass of water and was flabbergasted that in the time it took me to do those two short tasks I was completely dry! Like, not even a tacky moisturiser feel, but bone dry. Yet, my skin felt smooth and moisturised, just not sticky. This is perfect for day application because of this, if you would prefer to do it in the morning. The smell is also really nice! None of the fake tan biscuit smell, but instead a chocolate-y scent which I’d have gone for in a normal moisturiser. It’s light enough that you can cover it with perfume if you prefer, however, I find it quite nice and decided not to.

Was really excited to try this as it had great reviews. After two applications, there is a noticeable tan which is great, the only downside is the patchiness. I tanned all over my legs evenly but it still left patches of clear light parts throughout the tan. I personally like the smell of this tan, but it’s quite strong so probably an acquired taste

I have been meaning to write a review about this Bondi Sands Gradual Tanning Milk for so long! I first purchased it over a year ago and honestly have never looked back. For context, my skin is VERY pale, like “chicken white” pale! My routine is to exfoliate/shave first, then rinse off thoroughly with just cool water to remove any soaps or products. I then wait around 30 minutes, apply the tanning milk, and it dries super fast (sometimes I even use a fan to speed it up!). I then apply another coat, let it dry, then head off to bed. Personally, I don’t notice much of an odour from the product, although my daughter always comments on how gorgeous it smells! When I wake up, I have such a lovely light sun kissed tan, just enough for me to feel confident wearing dresses, shorts, etc. It genuinely gives me such a confidence boost. I top it up after each shower, then once a week exfoliate everything off again and start fresh. Best thing, no need to wash off after applying !! Absolutely love this product and highly recommend it and it doesn’t cost a fortune , a bottle last quite a long time, think on average I have purchased 5 bottle over a year, much safer than sun and sun beds and cheaper by far !!

Best gradual tan product around. I am a red head and very fair so I've found it a challenge to find a gradual tan that doesn't look orange for me. This is perfect and used with a mitt I don't ever get streaks. Also smells amazing

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect gradual tan that I can apply a few times a week and just be tanned ALL THE TIME. I’ve been using this a few weeks now and been really enjoying it but it’s got issues. As others have said the colour is lacking, it does get to a nice colour but I’m VERY pale so I appreciate how on some skin tones this would be pointless. You also do need to almost apply this daily other wise it washes off quicker than you can build it up. If like me you are wanting to use this regularly the bottle isn’t going to last too long either. Saying that, it’s easy to apply, it’s natural, isn’t streaky, doesn’t leave you feeling sticky, and has a graceful fade! I feel like if they brought out a darker version this would be the PERFECT tan!

I was not sure about this tanning lotion but I gave it a solid try. First off, I have 2 mitts. One small one for my face and one large mitt for the rest of my body. I put some lotion on beforehand to make the process smoother. Out of the bottle, the smell was not overbearing..not a tanning smell per say, just like clay or dirt smell, BUT faint. And it will go away fast. It takes a coat or 2 to see light to medium results. I have fair skin and freckles, so one coat looked like I was out in the sun all day and got a tiny tan. 2 coats and it looked like I am tanning. The color is gradual, no streaks. But you might need to put more on the legs. Other tanning products, you can see results right away, but leaves residue on your hands. I did not find a lot of residue on my finger or hands afterwards. I would recommend this product if you have a weekend and some patience to get the right amount of color for your skin tone. But if you prefer a really dark tan, this might not be the right product for you. But I love that it doesn't stink, doesn't make me look orange and I don't have streaks. And my semi tan looks like Ive been out in the sun.

Ho aspettato un po’ prima di fare questa recensione perché volevo vedere bene il risultato nel tempo. Premetto che è la mia primissima volta in assoluto con un autoabbronzante, quindi ho scelto di andare su questo graduale di Bondi Sands proprio perché avevo il terrore di ritrovarmi piena di macchie o con quel brutto effetto arancione "finto". Ragazze, il risultato è davvero super naturale! Dona un colorito leggero e dorato, niente di esagerato, serve proprio a ridare un po' di vita alla pelle. Essendo graduale, dopo la prima applicazione non si nota praticamente nulla, ma verso la terza o quarta sera si inizia a vedere la magia! Io l'ho messo per quattro sere di fila e la mia pelle, che di base è chiarissima, adesso ha un colore bellissimo e sano, sembra quasi di essere tornati da un fine settimana al mare usando la protezione 50! Nelle foto vi ho allegato i risultati del prima e dopo (al giorno quattro), sia sotto la luce diretta del sole sia in una stanza luminosa, così potete vedere la differenza reale. Una cosa che mi ha stupita tantissimo riguarda le mie mani: di mio tendono sempre ad essere un po' rossastre o violacee, ma usando questo latte hanno preso un colorito uniforme e sano, nascondendo del tutto quel sottotono! Per l'applicazione, l'ho steso sia con il guanto che senza. Se lo usate a mani nude, mi raccomando: lavate subito i palmi con il sapone appena finite, altrimenti vi rimane tutto il colore lì! Riguardo allo scrub, secondo me non serve farlo ogni volta: basta una volta alla settimana per togliere il colore vecchio e rifare la base da zero. Per il mantenimento, l’ideale è applicarlo tutte le sere per la prima settimana (per costruire il colore) e poi bastano circa due volte a settimana per mantenerlo. Piccola nota sul viso: avendo la pelle molto sensibile ed essendo io sempre un po' paurosa con i prodotti nuovi, ho preferito non metterlo sul viso e ho comprato le gocce autoabbronzanti sempre di Bondi Sands specifiche per quella zona, che testerò a breve! Infine, volevo rassicurarvi su una cosa: il flacone mi è arrivato dentro la scatola Amazon ma completamente senza imballo di plastica o cellophane intorno. C'era solo del nastro adesivo Amazon sul tappo per tenerlo chiuso. All'inizio mi è sembrato strano, ma mi sono informata e ho scoperto che il brand fa così per usare meno plastica usa e getta, quindi andate tranquille, è normalissimo e il prodotto è originale! Insomma, sono super soddisfatta perché cercavo proprio un effetto reale, delicato e senza esagerazioni. Inoltre, non è tossico (pensate che si può usare anche in gravidanza!) e sicuramente è più consigliato di stare ore e ore sotto il sole con super abbronzanti senza protezione solare o lampade (lo consigliano anche i dermatologi!) Best tanning milk product I've tried! Absorbs and dries quickly without leaving a sticky feeling to the skin. Noticeable results after just a couple of days and it provides a beautiful, natural glow. Yes, it still has a hint of that fake tanner smell, however, it's mostly masked with a chocolatey pleasant smell. Its a strong smell! But a good one.

Nowhere near as good as St Tropez gradual tan. This is pale and does not show up on first application unlike St Tropez GT. Disappointed I'd read it was good. Failed to impress.
