Brabantia Lift-O-Matic Clothes Line, Metallic Grey, 40m

I purchased a Brabantia Lift O Matic Rotary Dryer, Metallic grey 60m on 18/10/2008 this is virtually the same model, which I purchased again last week. We used the previous dryer regularly without any problems for nearly 18 years. It was an effective, well made sturdy, stable dryer, with the ability to carry at least 3 or more washing machine loads. We did not use a cover with it however the occasional wipe down of the lines and dryer arms was sufficient to keep it clean. The reason that we have had to replace that dryer is, the ground spike rusted badly and we were unable to take the dryer out of the ground. I now see that the problem, rusting spike, is mentioned and alternative means of fixing the unit in the ground are suggested. We have assembled the new unit, which was very easy, it looks almost exactly the same in appearance and build quality, as the one it replaced. I do consider it to be excellent value for money. I would say that the price is not the cheapest, however the reliability and quality of the previous unit, which this unit appears to exhibit, combined with the amount of washing that the line can take, and the height adjustability make it an outstanding piece of equipment. The bonus for me was, being able to take advantage of an offer, of an additional £20 reduction to the price. However I would still have bought this unit for the normal Amazon price, for the reasons set out above. I look forward to my family using this new dryer for many years to come.

Having spent an embarrassingly long time reviewing rotary airers online, I bought the Brabantia Lift-O-Matic- 60 Metres. Really pleased I did. I was a bit worried about the ground spike, we have very ‘stoney’ grass and I wasn’t convinced it would go in at all - let alone straight, but it did. This is a really good quality item. Sturdy, well made, with so much space for clothes and bed linen. The lift action on this is a dream - it glides effortlessly to the highest setting. It is a lovely height for me, I’m 5ft 6, and I can walk past it without fear of banging into the corner arms. I wasn’t sure if the 60 metres would look too big for where I wanted it, a small corner of my garden, but it is perfect. I wanted to keep the lines clean, so I bought the Brabantia Premium Protective Cover separately, available on Amazon. Really worth buying, very good quality, with zip to make it easier to put on - looks good too.

Product arrives in a large cardboard box that is about two meters long. It’s a nicely finished product. Looks expensive. It's mostly in one piece. Removing the outer plastic film and the ground-spike falls out, which has been split in half. I am not completely sure why they supplied it in two halves, but it only takes a minute to join them together. While the spike is strong, the moment I looked at it I realised it was not going in my soil. My back garden in heavy, compacted clay soil. No way it would go in to that. So, change of plan, I had to dig a "post hole" in ground and pop out for some quick-set concrete. I used a couple of pieces of wood and cable ties to point the pole straight up, then surrounded the spike with concrete, fairly dry so it didn’t ingress in to the hole in the spike, and left it be for a few hours. No doubt it will move, in time, but for the moment it’s vertical and strong. Using the line, it's very smooth to lift and nice and tall so you can get the washing well off the floor. It's also easy to adjust the line so the height is lower for people of a lesser loftiness. Everything works very well. Pleased with the purchase. It's worth the extra little money it costs. Recommended.

Excellent product, easy to use and does the job. However-the ground spike- it’s been a long time since I’ve seen something this over engineered. Ridiculously, requires instructions and assembly. If you have heavy ground or plenty of stones, this is an absolute b’stard to get in the ground.

Incredibly durable and resistant to the elements. Even after a winter it still looks brand new (with using the Brabantia cover). Fits a large washing load perfectly fine. It’s compact when stored away and very easy to extend

The spike was easy to put in the ground and the cap keeps it clean and safe for feet. The clothesline is easy to use and a great size for our small backyard. It folds away quickly and easily. We've only had it a short time, but so far I'm very happy with it.

Brilliant washing line, comes with a really sturdy spike too, which takes ages to knock in to the ground but it holds firm & straight once it’s in! Good quality, as always from Brabantia. Work the money!

After many years of nagging I have finally got a washing line- joy!. It is very easy to erect, put down and store away. It holds a really good amount of washing. Well recommended

Lif-o-matic is minder robuust dan het ouder model van droogmolen

Dopo averlo sperimentato per un lungo tempo, devo dire che è uno stendibiancheria molto robusto, che può essere anche regolato nelle altezze. Si riesce a stendere più lavatrice alla volta e l'aria passa con facilità permettendo un asciugatura regolare. Sono molto soddisfatta dell'acquisto se avete spazio lo consiglio

Me ha encantado, lo compre hace varios dias pero hasta hoy no lo he usado y la verdad que me ha ENCANTADO no se exactamente el número de lavadoras que caben....depende del la ropa que se haya lavado pero puedo decir que mi lavadora es de 8 kilos y me ha cabido perfectamente en un solo ala...hay que repetir por el tema del equilibrio pero es una pasada al girar sobre si mismo no se si es mi sensación pero creo que se seca mejor la ropa....espero me sea de mucha ayuda esté invierno jijij
