It is for fine hair and does add volume. I use 1-3 pumps but adjust according to your hair length. Pump once at a time, rub together on your hands and run hands through your hair whilst still damp. I then blow dry until almost dry and then use either the JF root booster or the JF fine to full blowout spray on each section to finish off and hold style. I like spray for the finish as I find mousse makes my hair lank.
