2 Disc edition of the classic Behemoth album now on Peaceville in deluxe mediabook packaging with bonus live DVD. Behemoth was born in Poland in 1991, formed by band mastermind, Nergal. The evolution of Behemoth grew out of early demos and studio recordings with strong black metal roots and atmospherics, into brutal extreme metal. They stamped their own identity on the metal world with the compositions becoming more fierce than cold, and with a great maturity in songwriting and execution becoming clearly evident with each passing early release. 'Demigod' was Behemoth's seventh album and was originally released in 2004 to great acclaim. This helped further propel the band to the forefront of the extreme metal genre with some savage riffs, technical mastery, combined with lyrical themes exploring occultism and mythology. 'Demigod' was recorded at Hendrix Studios, Poland, then moving to Dug Out Studios in Sweden for the mixing process. The album also features a guest appearance by Karl Sanders of US death gods, Nile. This edition of Demigod will be housed in deluxe packaging with a debossed cover, and also includes a bonus DVD featuring 11 tracks recorded live in Holland in December 2007.

it's pure Morbid Angel worship ( that's not a bad thing it just means it's a far heavier album ...
A monstrous slab of blackened death metal , it's pure Morbid Angel worship ( that's not a bad thing it just means it's a far heavier album than their albums before this one ).Personally this is my favourite album of theirs next to the Satanist another 5 star album the music is punishing the vocals are demonic . The songs are some of their catchiest .The live DVD is also excellent their live show is ferocious productions good and seeing them play "I get erection" by TurboNegro though silly is well executed .Great DVD CD combo . Certainly a high point of Behemoths career !

Poland's premier Black / Death Metal crossover band
A growing trend in the realm of extreme music is to mix the best elements of both Black and Death Metal, to come up with something even more brutal and evil-sounding. Bands such as Zyklon, Myrkskog and Arkhon Infaustus are playing this style of Metal nowadays, and they're all top bands. However, one band have been doing it for longer than most, and that is Poland's Behemoth, who started out as a straight-down-the-line Black Metal band, but soon began to incorporate Death Metal into their sound, to the point where Death Metal is now actually the dominant force in the music, though you can't really tell where one begins and the other ends. On this, their new album 'Demigod', mainman Nergal and his troops have produced almost certainly the album of their career so far. The band's last record 'Zos Kia Cultus' was a great release, but this is on a whole other level completely. When the opening track 'Sculpting The Throne Ov Seth' kicks in, you know this straight away. This is some serious brutality right here and no mistake. If the bands previously mentioned do anything for you, or Behemoth's countrymen Vader, Decapitated or Lost Soul, you should certainly check them out as they're a cut above most of what passes for Death Metal these days, as well as being a little different to the masses due to their added BM influences.

Maybe great if your a diehard fan.
Basic packaging, not the best album. Don't feel that the sound quality is as good as it could be via vinyl.

Molto, molto, molto buono.

Excellent album, belle version digipack
