Great everyday rain jacket
I regularly go backpacking and hiking and usually wear a very expensive Haglofs LIM III rain jacket...very expensive but superbly designed. I want it to last me for many more years...my previous one (which I still have) was used extensively for over 25 years! But, for my local daily 'constitutionals' I wanted something a little less 'technical' that would still provide rain cover, not be too heavy, and can be left in the car if necessary without fear of theft...replacement cost has to be low. This jacket fits the bill perfectly. I am 5' 7" and ordered the M size. It fits perfectly...not too long in the arm, and a length that provides good cover over my backside. I can wear this over a light base layer or several thicker layers...it's plenty roomy without feeling baggy. The hood compacts well into the collar and while it is not the best, it does have pull cords to tighten it around the head. I find hoods usually work best over a peaked cap though. The jacket has 4 pockets: two zip pockets outside (R&L), and two pockets on the inside. The latter pockets have no zips and are more suited to light items like gloves, or maybe even a map. I wouldn't put a water bottle in them. The seams are well sealed and it provides good rain protection, though I haven't tried it yet in a heavy downpour. If moisture is felt inside then it is most likely due to condensation from perspiration...the jacket does get quite warm if you're walking at pace, like I tend to.The jacket packs into a small separate draw-string bag, rather than one of its own pockets and this makes an easily stowed lightweight package to carry in another bag or throw in the glove box or door storage in the car.Overall, at one-tenth of the price of my Haglofs jacket, this has become my go-to rain lightweight cover for short walks or car trips. Excellent value for money.

Have not tested in rain.
Very similar to my old one. Sleeves are longer, so I Have to turn up. I bough a MEDIUM. However I am average height, my wife says I am shorter, but I think 5 foot 7.5 ins is average. The cuffs are looser than my old one, which is better as I can get at my watch on wrist. It is longer too, which is better. They call these waterproof, my old one was called waterproof but after 15 minutes in heavy rain your skin was wet. Unless something is a shell, that is two layers, and the cost is nearer to £100.00, a jacket is never going to be 100% waterproof. I wasted money on walking boots for about £50, but they were not waterproof, boots have to be a little in excess of £120.00 to be waterproof. This jacket will certainly keep out the drizzle and cool winds.

Ideal raincoat to keep in a backpack.
A roomy coat, great to put over a cardigan or jacket. Comes with a hood folded into the collar. Comes with its own carry bag. It is thin so will keep you dry but not necessarily warm. The only downside is that it isn't easy to fold back into the bag. It looks well made, a downpour will test that theory.

Good product for occasional use (and very waterproof)
I deliberately bought this as I had one before and wanted something which is generous in size. However it packs very well because it's lightweight so it's good if you want to carry a waterproof in case of bad weather but because it's lightweight it needs to have layers underneath during cold weather and I doubt it would cope well with heavy daily use. I've worn it in torrential rain and it kept the rain out but as with all waterproof jackets of this specification there's an issue with condensation but that's what you get for this price, and because it's a loose fit the condensation is not a problem. The fact I bought a second one is a proof that this is a good product to carry in your panniers or rucksack as long as you don't expect something which looks like high end professional sportswear

Beware the size, it's way bigger than labelled.
This raincoat is lightweight and appears to be reasonably well made.It is supplied packed in its stuff bag, therefore well creased as other reviews have mentioned, not a problem in my opinion, I purchased for outdoor activities in rough weather, not Sunday best. However, other reviews have commented that it's on the large side, that's an understatement, I'm normally between L & M, went down to M but, it's still way too big, about XL in my estimate.I'm sending back, therefore didn't put it to the ultimate test, rigorous activity while out in the rain. I suspect it would pass the waterproof test but, seriously doubt it would genuinely be breathable. I do sweat quite well and struggle to find waterproofs that pass that test.

Good value for money.
Well made ,especially the waterproofing and zip pockets. Lightweight and easy to pack away.

Barely waterproof
It doesn't do a very good job at preventing water from seeping through.

Simple but effective
A simple 'pack-a-mac' style waterproof that works when you need something to 'get you home'. If I was heading out I would wear something a little more water repellant but this is great in my cycling jersey or back pack as a back up for when it rains unexpectedly.

Protects against rain and wind, light weight, good quality
Perfect! Practical, light weight, compact, amazing quality, good for rain and wind. Got a size up so can fit sweater underneath, keep this in mind with sizing.

VERY warm coat
We live in western PA and it can get really cold and windy. We hike up on the mountain where the temps are even colder plus the wind. I wore a lightweight hoodie under it with just a t shirt and it totally kept the wind out and was very warm. Just make sure to keep the pockets closed because wind will find its way through them. I bought my partner one as well because it is so warm. I would DEFINITELY recommend this jacket. The only thing I don't like is the hood. It sticks up kinda far off my head which is why I wear the hoodie. Other than that this is an awesome jacket and inexpensive. I do not need name brands with high prices.

Super Schmuddelwetter-Jacke

The carrying bag is great, if fits perfect and it does a good ...
The carrying bag is great, if fits perfect and it does a good job protecting from wind and water, I was at a very rainy location and this product did a great job. Light and portable but the material has a very quality feel and durable.
