Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs: Missing Treasure!

I got these for the little boy down the road on his 4th birthday as he is a big fan of pirates and dinosaurs so these were perfect!! He loves reading them with his mum and she gives them a big thumbs up!

My three year old grandson could not put this book down when we borrowed it from the library, so I bought it for his birthday. An enchanting tale of pirates and dinosaurs, it does exactly what it says on the tin! Flinn and his friends visit a museum with their teacher (and what a teacher! Was I ever like that?) and solve the mystery of the missing treausre by finding their way into the hidden world of the pirate dinosaurs. They return with the treasure only to be dismissed as fantasists of course, but along the way they have acquired knowledge of the biggest dinosaur's fatal weakness - a fear of spiders! A really lovely book for young children, superbly illustrated and highly recommended.

I cannot get enough of Captain Flinn and his Pirate Dinosaurs. They are a hit both at home and in my classroom (with mandatory silly voices). Excellent storytelling with great pictures.

Pirates and Dinosaurs! PIRATE DINOSAURS! What on EARTH could be better?! I bought this for my 2 year old daughter as she loves both pirates and dinosaurs. I find that in some places it's a little too busy and she seems to lose track of the story or gets too distracted by the pictures (which I don't mind), but for the most part it's a brilliant book. Well written, wonderfully illustrated, it's one of those books you can really get some energy into! Well worth the money.

The quirky illustrations and text style were not what we had envisaged, but that was obviously not a factor in influencing our grandson, who loves it!

We all loved it! It's fun, simple and well written. Drawings are good, perhaps too busy but it's all right. I bought one for my children And another one to give as a gift.

And their long suffering parents! This collection of books were all absolutely great and my two draughters, aged nine and five, love them all to death ! Their favourite is Smugglers Beach because of the great song but all of them get five stars from us!

My son loves this book. I was a little put off at first with the "potty talk" character names but it does it in a way that our son hasn't used the names in an inappropriate manner. Otherwise a great fun story!

I purchased this book for my grand-daughter when she was 5. We'd read it together when ever she'd have a sleep over at my house and she loved the book. It's not just a "boy's book" but an enjoyable adventure for any child. She's 7 now and enjoys reading the book on her own. A good story is ever lasting......

This is the second Captain Flinn book I purchased for my 5 year old grandson and he LOVES them. So many laughs and silly noises come as the characters come to life in the reading. The illustrations are great too. I highly recommend this book!
