I Love My Omelette Maker: The Only Omelette Maker Recipe Book You'll Ever Need

I recently received an omelette maker Elgento E27011N Omelette Maker, Thermostatic Controls, 760 Watt, White which is useful but the instructions were almost non-existent so I bought this book initially just to get a clue about quantities and cooking times. I am not sure there is any omelette that is not covered in this book, it is divided into sections which makes finding the one you want easier. An excellent book which even gives both metric and imperial quantities. Below is a complete list of the omelettes in the book. Haven't had chance to seriously use it yet. But have skimmed through. Seems crammed with ideas I would not otherwise have had. I like the way recipes are categorised into breakfast, meat, veggie, etc. A nice touch is the few words at the bottom of each page, no more than a sentence, where the author suggests how you could turn this particular omelette into more of a meal if you have time. ("Serve on a bed of wilted spinach and halved baby tomatoes". Or "You could try adding some quickly diced black pudding or regular sausage for more of a breakfast meal".) You can't live on omelettes alone but this little book could sometimes save the day.

Just bought my Omelette maker so keen to find some good recipes to use. Two things to note with this book, 1. It’s pretty much ALL Omelettes (these machines Do do other stuff) & the title of the book is “I love my Omelette Maker” perhaps should be I love my Omelette maker Omelettes! The manufacturers recipes for my machine include chicken breasts for example. 2. Whenever ingredients need part cooking before adding to the Omelette mix, it seems to suggest doing it in a pan! Surely it would be easy to suggest that the Omelette machine can be used to pre-cook ingredients before adding the egg mix. A decent guide & inspiration for new creations but not what I was expecting tbh.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas and I couldn’t have picked a better gift. He loves omelets and this contraption does not disappoint. It cooks perfect, fluffy, moist omelets every time (& I’m not particularly a lover of omelets & even i like them). He has started sautéing various veggies at the beginning of each week & bagging them up, so he’ll throw some of those in with cheese and eggs & have a quick, nutritious breakfast in no time. Super easy to clean, too. Kudos to whomever invented this device!

I feel it didn’t give a great variety of recipes. I wouldn’t buy this again. It may be better for someone who has more ideals for the recipes
