Papo MEDIEVAL-FANTASY Animals 36013 Phoenix Figurine, Multicolour, 6.5cm

I should have checked the size. This was bought as a present for a child named Phoenix. When it arrived, it was tiny. Very nicely made, but I found it expensive for the what it was. Just my opinion.

Great little figures, I used these to decorate a cake and spray painted them gold. It was an amazing touch to the cake and cheaper than a cake maker making the topper themselves

Absolutely tiny and only came in a plastic bag. Definitely not worth the money. Was meant to be a gift. Very disappointed

We bought this as a Harry Potter gift as Fawkes the Phoenix. My son was thrilled with it and immediately recognised it as such. Always good quality from Papo.

I know this is intended for kids, but I've always had an admiration for the phoenix and the mythos behind it. I volunteer in behavioral health recovery, the phoenix is a good representation of the idea that even when we have reached what feels like our end, we can still be born anew from the fiery destruction and ashes of our former lives and that our mental health condition or substance use disorder does not have to define the whole of our existence. We can recover, we can be born anew. So I bought this for myself and have it on my computer desk for inspiration. It's a flexible plastic, but not so much that you can pose it, it has no articulation. The durability is high except for the head feathers, they'd probably tear off easily, but the painting and detail of artwork is a good 3.5 or 4 out of 5. Again it's clearly intended for preteen kids to actually play with and not the quality of a collector's statuary item you'd put in a case for display purposes.
