Teltonika RUT241 LTE Router

Item arrived and is working perfectly with the Smarty internet service in our campervan. Please note this is NOT the eSIM model as listed, but just the standard RUT241 model. Unfortunatly the seller is unable to change the listing with Amazon.

2 star because the description is wrong. (Otherwise would be 2 star) There is no eSim functionality in the product delivered. Finally I can test it in the environment where I want to use it. Well turned out it is not worth the purchase. With outside antenna and with apparently good signal still no internet. My 7 year phone inside the van has internet. Slow but still has. i used the same simcard to make sure the test is accurate. The reason I bought it was not the speed gain as I know this is only cat 4. It was a more reliable internet in rural areas even it it is slower. Well forget it. Because of this I won't even think to upgrade to pricier Teltonika with 5G. It his one is so bad I do not want to waste even more money with them.

Used in my motorhome, I used a RUT 240, for 5 years before it failed replaced with a 241, just as easy to use, but with better signal quality and strength

Just took mine out of the motorhome to a local notoriously signal low festival, where it supported us ( a local charity) and three traders, we were struggling to use our card machines either directly or phone tethered (we had to stand by the gate wave the machines in the air and pray.) Once we had the RUT241 in place no problems at all, it picked up a weak cell signal and broadcast a solid wifi.. The other traders were so impressed they were off to buy their own kit straight after the festival. As well as not needing to leave their pitch the reponse time to take payments was quicker and customers would come back (coffee and cake especially) because they knew they could payeasily

First device on the road to cutting the cord! It's been a long learning curve and I tripped.... Cat 4 routers do not have carrier aggregation so you're not able to use 4G+ and are stuck at 4G. This is not an issue if you're in a great signal area but for myself in Cornwall it has become an issue. That said I'm on a fairly dirty signal with better DL/UL speeds than my fixed BT pots / ADSL line. It's just not as stable without an antenna. All part of the learning process and I can't fault the RUT241 at all. Up and connected in under 4mins. Great wifi coverage through an ancient old Cornish house and to the garden, basement. Great support on the Teltonika website. Good fun walking around the property and grounds with it connected to a 20m 240v extension to play hunt the best cell tower!

This is not the eSIM model, despite the description saying that it is, which is why I've removed a couple of stars. However, the functionality, GUI and setup is very impressive.

Works reliably and was easy to set up. Good signal strength even in rural areas. The eSIM feature is convenient and saves time. Compact design and runs stable with no dropouts so far. Great value for remote connectivity.

Nice looking bit of kit but sending it straight back as it's not the eSim version, which is the who reason I bought it!

Produit fiable.
