All the patterns are pretty and they are quite sturdy. However, the colourful vintage design takes up most of the plate, leaving very little surface for food. At least 2 triangle sandwich quarters and a fairy cake, not cupcake - that would fill the entire plate. The sturdiness isn't a factor as the plates were so small became fiddly to hold or rest on lap. These were for a 90th afternoon tea celebration, the elders were extremely careful and conscious.
