- Manufactured for for sharpening all HSS and carbon steel chisels and plane blades from 3 mm to 67 mm wide.
- Also ideal for sharpening knives, scissors and metal blades
- The Oil stone is 200 x 50 x 25 mm (8 x 2 x 1 Inch) and has both medium and coarse working surfaces: Grit: Coarse 120, Medium 180
- The Honing Guide is used to ensure the ideal cutting angle when restoring a cutting edge to straight edged chisels, bevel edged chisels and plane irons from 3 mm to 67 mm wide
- Use the inner jaws for chisels, a blade projection of 30 mm will give a 30 degree angle and 40 mm will result in a 25 degree angle
- Use the outer jaws for plane irons with a projection of 38 mm for a 30 degree angle or 50 mm for a 25 degree angle

A: yes its good for knives and the honing guide allows for chisels to be sharpened also

**Q: What kind of oil is this**
A: It is a light mineral oil,  use any light oil, 3-in-1 can be used but may clog the stone which will then need cleaning.

**Q: Where can I buy oilstone box FAIOSBOX**
A: No idea, it was standard back in the day of our grandfathers / great grandfathers to get the sharpening stone in a box though a lot of these modern stones are naff.
