Performance better than expected for this type of drive - it did perform better than stated specs. (specs given: 60MB/s Read and 15MB/s Write). I ordered this as it will be used in a high moisture environment (boat and waverunner). Advertised capacity was correct (see note below on drive capacities). My test results: Flash drive formatted to exFAT. Only Usb 3.0 ports used. Test folder: 5.00GB total size, 1426 files in 124 subfolders (a mix of large and small files). Copying from internal hard drive to flash drive: Write speed peak and low: 38.5MB/s; 3.3MB/s Write time: 4 minutes 35 seconds. Copying from flash drive to secondary internal hard drive: Read speed peak and low: 105MB/s; 60MB/s Read time: 1 minutes 28 seconds Write performance usually nose-dives between the 1 and 2 minute mark as drives like this heat up, but I did notice that this drive does a pretty good job of handling the heat. Read performance is generally not that affected though. Note: It is expected and normal for a drives usable capacity to be 5-10% less than its advertised capacity. You were not ripped off. Simply search “Understanding advertised vs. actual drive storage capacities” if you want the technical answer. I’ve started to review a number of flash drives. This flash drive was tested on a Lenovo laptop (Windows 10) with Intel I7-7500U CPU, 16GB Ram, two Samsung 850 Pro SSD storage drives. I used both of the laptops USB 3.0 ports.

The Vansuny 128GB USB C Flash Drive works on Android, Chromium, MacOS and Windows OS and can support connecting with many devices since it has both, USB Type C and USB Type A connections. The metal USB device feels sturdy and it comes with a couple of plastic caps to protect the USB connectors. The Vansuny 128GB USB C Flash Drive is advertised as a 70 MB/s read speed drive and 20 MB/s write speed. Every time I get a storage media device I perform speed test and also fill them up with data and read it back just to make sure. I was surprised that the USB flash drive was reaching 137.44 MB/s read speed and 105.80 write speed on a benchmark on Windows. That is almost 2x the advertised read speed and over 5x the write speed. I ran another bench on an Android phone and it reached a max 147.38 MB/s read and and 105.97 write speed On a MacOS MacBook it reached a max 132.96 MB/s read and and 113.65 MB/s write speed. I copied 112GB of data to the Vansuny 128GB USB C Flash Drive and it took 38m:35s for a 48.38 MB/s average write speed. Even when it was almost full...it was reaching 114 MB/s write speed connected via USB-C and 68 MB/s write speed connected via USB-A Copying the 112 GB of data back to a computer too only 16m:44s for a 111.52 MB/s average read speed...This is well above the 70 MB/s advertised read speed. The Vansuny 128GB USB C Flash Drive performed very well and above the advertised read and write speeds on each platform. It did not only went above expected speed benchmarks, but on real file data transfer. This is a nice drive to have when you need to transfer files from devices with different USB interfaces.
