Great to start out in Arduino
I recently decided to take a stab at learning Arduino uses and programming, just out of personal interest & keeping my 70 year-old brain engaged. This is a very good starter kit, complete with a Hero board (compatible to Arduino Uno). All instructions are via a series of videos which are well done and provide a background story line along with accompanying lessons on coding, starting with the very basics.I’ve installed the Arduino coding software (free from the Arduino site) on 2 MacBooks. Both installed without any issues and run fine, even though one of them is a 2013 running Catalina. Have started on the first few lessons and enjoying the learning so far. If you spend an hour or so each day viewing the lesson and working through the coding, breadboarding, etc you should be able to finish the lessons in about 30 days. I’d recommend this for anyone wanting to start learning Arduino.

Great kit if you want to learn the fundamentals of programming and interfacing microcontrollers
This is a fun little project kit that teaches you basic programming on the Arduino as well as basic electronics and interfacing to a small computer. It has a fun little storyline of you starting out in a space ship that has crashed, and through the lessons you are "repairing" your ship to get off the planet. You start off learning how to wire up simple switches and lights and writing programming to control things. Each lesson gets progressively more advanced, but at a pace that is easy to keep up with.No knowledge of electronics is necessary as the course teaches you everything you will need to know. Some basic programming knowledge is helpful, but again not required as the course eases you in so that even if you have no prior programming experience, you will not have difficulty following along.I have been doing programming and electronics for over 40 years and can absolutely say that if you are interested in learning some basic programming and electronics, and how you can use microcontrollers to interface to real world hardware, this is the kit for you. It gives you great fundamentals in easy byte sized chunks and has a fun little storyline that keeps you engaged.

This IS the Arduino Learning Kit you are looking for.
Absolutely Amazing. This is the best microcontroller learning kit I've ever found. It is FUN, teaches hardware (Arduino), and software (C++), and has great support. Each lesson video has three parts: a motivational story line in which actress Britt Genelin plays Astrid, the delightfully snarky onboard AI. Her performance really makes this kit a blast. Second, there is a walk through the coding for each project, and third, there is a walk through of the hardware assembly and operation. The Arduino is programmed from your computer using the standard Arduino development environment. The first lesson shows how to install this for Windows, MAC, and Chromebook devices. I ran it from my Linux desktop - while they don't include the instructions for installing on Linux, it is a very easy install. (I just googled for "arduino ide flatpak for fedora" to find the instructions).Support is outstanding. My kit arrived Friday, and I noticed it was missing the OLED display module. I emailed support that day, and the replacement arrived that Monday! The lessons are wonderfully designed, progressing from simple components, to a final complex combination that represents a flight controller that you have to fly to a successful rendezvous with the mother ship. Yes, you end up making a simple retro video game, and get to play it.I had a blast with this kit.Highly recommended for any age.

Enjoyable entry point to microcontrollers
I have some background in software development and electronics, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience with this kit! With a gentle introduction you can see results fast, no prior knowledge is needed. My only caveat is that towards the end of the course in particular, you tend to learn less about the background of both certain components, as well as the coding aspect, since much is hidden in libraries. The instructions prompt you to basically copy-paste the code and just wire according to a picture. While it encourages the user to play around frequently, you'll have to do some more research if you have more complex projects in mind, or want to transfer the new knowledge to different hardware (sensors etc) or for example a Raspberry Pi.However, as an introduction to get someone excited about those topics, it certainly does a good job.

Got this for my nephew and he loves it
Got this for my 11 year old nephew and he worked on it with his father and they had great things to say about it and really enjoyed the process. Would recommend for anyone with kids around this age that are interested in science.

Great product
Arrived on time, well packaged. The tutorials are clear and well explained, combined into an adventure theme, this is a great little package that keeps your interest while teaching something new every day.

Good Idea - Poor Execution
The idea is good but execution is poor. The hardware is just okay. You have to watch Youtube for instructions. That's where the products loses 2 stars. The Youtube video is poorly produced and the coding is small and blurry. Very poor quality. The transition between the space cadet videos and coding videos seems like they grabbed a random video out of thin air.Lastly, the instruction for C++ coding is non existent. My kid got discouraged quickly. So you just copy and paste the code and not learn anything.

Great Kit to launch your electronics journey
This was another accidental find which wound up being a real treasure. The course has a theme where you, a Space Cadet, have crash-landed on an alien planet and your ship rests at the bottom of the ocean. The ship has suffered some damage and if you ever expect to get back home, a series of repairs are in order.Starting with simple basics, you learn to light an LED, then move on to setting up different types of sensors and writing code which makes them work. The course is free, and there's a Facebook group full of support where you can go if you need the assist.30 Days has been imitated but not duplicated. Consider giving it a try.
