Trixie Large Wooden Digging Tower for Pet Hamster, 25 × 24 × 20 cm

Bought this product for my roborovski dwarf hamster to keep him busy. It was much larger than expected and came ready assembled. The provided ladder was a bit too large for my hamster (better suited for a Syrian hamster) but I used bridges and he can easily get up now. The hamster loves to burrow in it and has now made his bed in the top!

my rats absolutely love this, four of them will squeeze in and sleep snuggled together and they love to dig into whatever I fill it with (mainly shredded paper) the can squeeze out of the back and even though they have nibbled on the wood it is highly durable after a year of having it in the cage. The wooden bit from the bottom that slides out did warp a little due to it getting wet from when the rats urinate in there on the odd occasion but it is still going strong. Absolutely love it and enjoy watching them play.

It's a great toy, I fill mine with shavings and nuggets for my Degus and let them have a good scrounge for their nuggets. They seem to enjoy it. Only problem I had was that when it arrived and I went to peel the plastic off the perspex I found that there was a small hole in the perspex. I assume it was there when it was packaged though because the box wasn't damaged. I didn't bother doing anything about it as I couldn't be bothered trying to re-package the thing to post it back to the seller so I just use it as is, it hasn't harmed my boys so I'm okay with it. But it's a good size for Degus to get in and out of the top hole. Not sure about the bottom bit, none of my four have ever tried getting through the bottom part but I'd say they'd be able to fit through if they wanted. It is quite large so if you want to leave it in a cage you'd need quite a big one.

It's larger than I thought, you need a tall cage to accommodate it. Our hamster,Elsie loves burrowing in it. I would recommend it

It's great for the money, really good size for our Syrian hamster but unfortunately one side of the perspex was broken.....we can still use it so I'm not faffing around sending it back.....to my daughter's annoyance. The next one may b damaged! As this seems to b a problem for a fair few people when it's delivered. Will still give it 5stars because it's great.....one of the better hamster houses on the market 😊

I purchased this lovely dig box sadly when it got to me and I opened the packet I found a dead beetle in the package. It looked like a bark beetle. It was only one but couldn’t take the risk of using it if it was infested. I also called Trixie to make them aware that there may be an issue.

Lots of Cage Space required as Large object. Great for my Syrian hamster who loves to burrow. To fill i used Carefresh bedding mixed with a Petal Forage Mix (Timothy Hay & Rose Petals) to give it a fresh scent & I placed Rosewood Natural Summer Harvest mix with a few Fennel & Dill sticks to the side compartment for a fun forage treat! 😁😀 #SpoiltHamster!

I will NEVER buy Trixie products again! My Syrian hamster lives in a massive (bigger than recommended) tank and has always been happy with her home. This week she moved her sleeping area and stopped digging in her coco soil (she LOVES digging normally). I realised she had chewed her way through the lower chamber of this item and was faced with nails (see photos)!!! She could have really hurt herself. Fortunately, she is okay physically. This item is SO dangerous for rodents!!!

Ich habe den Buddelturm für meine Farbmäusebande gekauft. Die Qualität des Turms ist sehr zufriedenstellend. Er ist stabil und es passt ordentlich Einstreu hinein. Die Leiter war leider voller Klebereste, allerdings kann man sie auch getrost weglassen. Ansonsten kann ich nur berichten, dass meine Mäuse sich regelrecht auf den Turm gestürzt haben und sie gar nicht mehr von ihm weichen. Sie lieben es, darin zu buddeln. Daher gibt es von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Bei einem Preis von ca. 8,50€ kann man da wirklich nicht meckern.

Item came way bigger than i was expecting. my dwarf hamster loves digging through it. he gets to the bottom and runs back to the top again to make a different tunnel. Came larger, faster than expected, made of good quality materials, and works as intended. a Good buy in my opinion.
